22oz bottle .. . wow, this is one aggressive beer, american strong meets asshole ripping IIPA .. . mad maple hops, dried grass, tons of american hops, and grating sweet malt .. . way to much, and not in the Bigfoot BW way, its just a crazy mess of a beer. but i kinda liked it .. . . suck my balls..

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Comes out of the tap a hazy honey golden, not much head but it does leave some good lacing. Strong hoppy aroma has a bourbon overtone and rich woody and fruity tones. Firm, bold flavor has woody hop, bourbon and fruity notes, the latter being both citrus and pear; a hint of pine makes its appearance. Smooth, viscous and fairly fizzy mouthfeel rounds out a great brew.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled on-tap at Frankenmuth at the World Expo of Beer.
Appearance: A nice little finger of head floats on top of this golden colored beer. Good.
Smell: Huge hop aromas... fruity and floral, and bursting.
Taste: Sweet, oak, vanilla, hops, not very bitter ... not cloying. My first aged IPA, and I like it a lot.
A great beer! I wish I had gotten myself a full sample of this instead of Bolt Cutter. The barrels work their magic on this one, and it makes for a very compelling IIPA.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Fruity and boozy, with bourbon, light citrus and peaches, faint sweet malty notes, toffee, and a bourbony finish. Pretty good, though I donít understand the desire to toss IPA in a bourbon barrel... It was probably better before it went in.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
A very different IPA, to be sure. Pours clear golden with shades of orange. Aroma brings out the various yeasts used - tropical, fruity, grape-fruity smell. Hints of Bourbon. Beautiful two-finger snow-white head, larger bubbles show off the intense yeast activity. Taste is multifaceted and complex. Beginning with intense tropical fruit flavors, mellows out as it hits the back of the mouth. The oak comes into play - caramel, sweat, raisin, and piney. A dry finish with hints of Bourbon. Smooth alcohol, almost nondescript, warm.
Not really drawn to IPAís, I found this to be one of the more enjoyable beers Iíve had. Would definitely come back for more.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg @ Beer Run. Slightly hazy light amber with a small head. The nose is concentrated peach and mango. Fruit leather. Moderate vanilla. The taste is much more abrasive. Quite woody. Sticky vanilla and toffee cake. Burnt orange peel and bitter grass. The finish builds to a pretty robust burn. Full body, sticky. Light carb. Really not my thing.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from a nice little swap with DalzAle. Pours pale hazy orange with a thin soapy white head that dissipates to a film and shows some lacing. Aroma has a mix of vanilla wood bourbon and dulled citrus resinous pine and spruce. Taste is sweet vanilla wood and bourbon with oranges mango and slightly resinous spruce/pine sap and it a has subtle bitterness. Palate is full slick warming and dry. I am actually really digging this! Was not excepting too! This is a step above Rumble, now I need some of that!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour a slightly hazy light amber/copper, with a small white ní somewhat creamy-looking head.
Aroma has lots of caramel, slight dark fruits, slight leather, a little booze and some old hops. Faint hints of some fresher hops, which suites this beer very well.
The taste is rather sweet upfront, with a few bitter notes. Slightly perfumed.
Medium bodied, with a slightly flat carb. To me, this seems a little more like a barleywine than an IIPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle:   Orangish golden, pale haze, thin to moderate sudsy white head, nice lacing.   Soft bourbon on the nose, very pale hop qualities.   Stronger bourbon on the tongue.   Bitterness is there, but not terribly strong.   Smooth, decent malt base.   A bit simple in that the IPA aspect doesnít seem to be all that complex.   More so a sweet bourbon aspect from start to finish.   Hides the 10% fairly well.   Warming, but not alcoholic.   With the balanced hops and sweet malt base, its like an IIPA on steroids with the bourbon.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Warming finish, bourbon, hop bitterness, a little citrus peel and pith.   When I thought bourbon aged IIPA, I was thinking BARF!   However, this one (while a little simple) turned out to be rather enjoyable.   Thanks Kevin!
