750 ml bottle. Strong bourbon notes with a pleasant amount of oak and hops present. Wish they would bottle Looking Glass. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Macgregor’s. Pour is hazed golden amber with white head. Nose is light bourbon, sticky caramel, pine resign, touch of pine sol. Taste is a little bourbon(much less than KBS), still sticky resigny hop, notes of citrus and lots of pine.

Bottle, trade with umich03jm. Two years old. Pours with a big head and aroma of sweet malt and not a lot more than that. Flavor is almost all malt, not sweet but without interesting notes. Moderately bitter, very slight barrel notes. Probably did not handle cellaring well; any lose of hop aroma or bitterness was a negative for this one.

Sample at HMOG. I am not usually one for an aged IPA but this one is now bordering on barley wine status. Hops are totally faded from the aroma but you are still left with a decently bodied caramel sweet drink. Bourbon is slight but there more in an alcoholic way than a sweet way. Either way, glad a got a chance to try it.

Backlog, pretty tasty beverage, nice bitter and citrus hops still there with a light barrel presence

The added complexity from the bourbon is phenomenal. Great vanilla notes along with the smooth bourbon finish

750 ml bottle a gift from bytemysis. Nose is mango, pineapple, oaky vanilla, and light bourbon notes. Hazy orange with a medium lightly lacing off white head. Flavor is light bitterness, tropical fruits, vanilla, and bourbon. Pretty tasty stuff.

Bottle. Clear yellow pour with a small layer of white head. Aroma is butterscotch, vanilla, lemon biscuits and light hops. Taste is sweet up front, followed by bitter hops, bourbon vanilla sweetness, the finish is a bit hot but with a mild boozy lingering finish. This surprised me...I really enjoyed this.

Transfer from BA review on 7-10-13- Served on tap in a snifter Appearance – Served clear golden-orange colored brew with a small one half finger white head. The head faded moderately fast to leave a good level of lace on the sides of the glass Smell- The aroma is on the sweeter side with a good deal of tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, and papaya) with other aromas of sweet vanilla and some apple juice. Along with these sweeter smells are some lighter hop aromas of pine and grapefruit with a moderate, but not overpoweringly strong, bourbon smell. Taste – The taste begins malty and sweet with lots of caramel, bread, and the tropical fruit that was heavy in the nose. As the taste advances some vanilla as well as a little bit of bourbon begin working their way onto the tongue along with some of the hops, which up to this point were rather subdued. The bourbon grows slightly stronger more toward the end with the hop of a pine and grapefruit nature building as well. While the hops gain strength they never really out compete the malt and sweet tastes with the end flavor that is left on the tongue being one of a sweeter fruit and lightly hopped and bourbon boozy taste. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer was on the creamier and smoother side with a carbonation level that was rather average to slightly below average. A rather nice mouthcoating feel for the rather sweet flavors of the brew with it highlighting well the bourbon flavors as well. Overall- A rather tasty brew overall, but a little light on the hop to balance out the malt for an Imperial IPA. A nice try, but nothing to go nuts over.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours orange with a off white head. Taste citrus, pine, booze. I thought this was good. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
