4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Cloudy light brown color. Light mango and hop in the nose. Sweet mango flavor mixed with slight hop and a mild heat. Surprised how good it was.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
750 mL bottle courtesy of Chris, served in a snifter. Pours clear amber with a small white head that fades and leaves a small amount of fine lace. The nose has medium spicy, peppery notes combined with a slight fruitiness. There are also notes of caramel malts. The flavour is medium sweet up front with a big mango presence. The habanero soon kicks in, imparting an intense peppery spiciness that later gives way to a balance between tropical fruity sweetness and intense peppery spiciness. The finish is long and fruity, with a touch of habanero. On the palate, it is medium in body with a smooth, watery texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this was an interesting experience, but disappointing as an overall experience. It is at once too fruity and too spicy, somehow managing to be less than the sum of its parts. 2014-01-31

2.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle at Syb Pig bottle share. Snifter. Light color pour with a very small head. Aroma is good with mangos, peppers, herbs and other spices. But the taste...oy vey. Much too sweet with the mangos and then the heat is overwhelming. Not balanced at all. Finish is...well who cares. Drain pour. Only beer from Founders I didnít like. (Writing this while doing a Breakfast Stout...YUMM!)

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Ginger Man NYC. Aroma is pleasant, but very faint - picking up just a bit of sweetness from the fruit. Flavor is very intense considering lack of aroma. Nice tropical fruit sweetness accompanied by a healthy dose of heat. I would describe the heat as medium plus; and it lingers awhile. A very nice fruit beer; score is hindered by weak aroma.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is fairly fruity with a lot of mango but it has an artificial character. Light spice and moderate honey character.
Pours a fairly clear golden yellow with a thin pale white head that receedes quickly to the edges and lingers on the edges. Light lacing and medium legs.
Flavor has a strong honey like sweetness with a medium spice that kicks through the sweetness and lingers. Light bitterness and some lingering heat. Damn this is fairly sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall too sweet and big for my tastes, but not bad use of heat.

Pours orange from 22oz bottle. Fizzy cream head. Nose reminds me of tang. Fizzy body. Great almost orange pop taste. Chili burn at end. Great one of a kind brew.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber. Light but substantial fruity nose - mango detectable from one meter away right after opening. Clear bight straw color. Big sweet initial: mango and dried apricots / heat begins in mid and really intensifies quickly / some mild honey flavors in final. The burn spreads along the mouth and throat and goes on and on. Medium body. A bit sweet and syrupy, with way too much pepper. Still, I like it.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2014 Bottle from Nevitt. Big Mango nose, honey, biscuity pale malts, slight peppery fame. Clear, brilliant golden, lace. Dried mango, a bit sweet honey, hoppy bitterness, going to wildly hot peppers. The chilies first seem to be hops, and the middle palate is great, then itís this huge burning habanero shit that sucks. Some lingering mango sweetness. Alcohol also seems to be working in there. Sucky finish. The wonderful flavors of this beer are destroyed by the huge peppery finish.
