Mango Magnifico is a never-before-released, high-gravity fruit beer brewed with mango and Michigan-grown habaneros. Each 750mL bottle of this 10% ABV ale is intended to be shared. Not a traditional fruit beer, the delicate tropical fruit in Mango Magnifico is punctuated by a hint of heat, increasing the overall depth of flavor and adding another level of complexity. It will be a refreshing drink for the warm summer months.

Ever had Ed’s Cave Creek Chile beer? This reminds me of an actually good version of that, to an extent. The mango is obvious in the aroma, and so is the chile. Mango is obvious in the first few sips, but after that the habanero burn starts to dominate. It’s definitely a sipper. I could see it being a great pair with food that doesn’t have a strong and overpowering taste - fish? The combination of the ABV and the chile definitely warmed me up. Compliments of a beer buddy here at work as several of us shared his bottle. Would I purchase this myself? Probably not now that I’ve tried it. Would I drink it again? No question. Would I drink it often? Don’t think so - it’s a very intense experience.

Orange pour with a very thin head. Aroma is full of mango. Makes me think of a juicy mango dripping down my arm. Medium bodied. Very fruity, a little vegetal. Pretty spicy. Wild beer, if you can call it a beer. Slightly chalky, vitamin like. A little lace present.

Mango nose. Cloudy amber, thin head. Honey and mango. Lesser tangerine. Habanero finish. Medium body, easy carbonation, peppery heat.Pretty tasty, but it does get tiresome.

Bottled. 2016 vintage. Pours hazy orange glow, white head. Aroma is mango juice. Mild pepper all the way at the back. really intense mango. Flavor is woah, mango, and pepper. Pepper isn’t over the top but is prominent. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t really do it for me. The mango is too sweet (mango juice rather than just mango notes), but the pepper is nice.

Tap. Pours clear copper amber with low foamy head. Aroma is candy-like sweet, mango with a chili finish. Taste is sweet, peppers, a bit of medicine. Not my cup of tea but interesting.

Buckeyeboy hooked this up for an impromptu weeknight tasting... Pours mostly clear orange with a sticky white head... this one is sweet! boozy and sweet, the mango really comes through and is magnified by the residual maltiness.. the chilis are also really fruity and add a big amount of heat toward the finish.. Pretty well done honestly, but too sweet and a bit too much building chili for my feeble palate.

Flaska systembolaget.

The best thing about this beer is how it looks- clear gold with lots of bubbles and a soft white head. Aroma is fruity. Unfortunately the mango, bitterness and spice combine to give the beer an overall medicinal taste, like flavored liquid antibiotic that they give kids. It’s not horrible in this regard, but to me it’s there. Spice is good and strong, and lingers. Spice level is perfect, I’d say. Overall, good but that medicinal hint takes a lot away.

Bottle: pours clear orangish color with a thin white head, strong sweet citrus/mango aroma, taste is sweet with a nice burn from the habanero in the finish. The two things don’t work that well together for me.

Pours clear dark amber with a thick but effervescent pale buff head. Malty aroma presents a firm, sweet mango overtone. Flavor delivers what the aroma promises - then injects a firm peppery note, not enough to make your eyes spin, but it gets your attention. Mouthfeel features firm body, if not much fizz. Meant to be shared? Drat - I should have saved this for my next bottle share meeting. What the hey, I’ll drink it slowly - and maybe get another one.
