COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mango Magnifico is a never-before-released, high-gravity fruit beer brewed with mango and Michigan-grown habaneros. Each 750mL bottle of this 10% ABV ale is intended to be shared. Not a traditional fruit beer, the delicate tropical fruit in Mango Magnifico is punctuated by a hint of heat, increasing the overall depth of flavor and adding another level of complexity. It will be a refreshing drink for the warm summer months.

Ever had Ed’s Cave Creek Chile beer? This reminds me of an actually good version of that, to an extent. The mango is obvious in the aroma, and so is the chile. Mango is obvious in the first few sips, but after that the habanero burn starts to dominate. It’s definitely a sipper. I could see it being a great pair with food that doesn’t have a strong and overpowering taste - fish? The combination of the ABV and the chile definitely warmed me up. Compliments of a beer buddy here at work as several of us shared his bottle. Would I purchase this myself? Probably not now that I’ve tried it. Would I drink it again? No question. Would I drink it often? Don’t think so - it’s a very intense experience.

Pours clear light amber with a medium frothy white head. Aromas of mango, peach, citrus, caramel, fruit jam, resin, starfruit. Taste is VERY fruity with fruit marmalade sticky and oily notes and chili tones towards the end. Mouthfeel is oily and sticky with medium carbonation.

bottle sampler at fest. poured an orange color with whitish head. nice sweet mango aroma almost a bit to much sweet. medium malt and chili. the flavor is quite a nice mix of mango and chili peppers not overpowering and blended quite well. leaves a nice warm chili burn in the belly. actually quite enjoyable.

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of mango, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, chili, mango, and straw, leading to a dry chili finisih. Too much for me.

Der er en god smag af chili i den, uden at det er for meget. Det passer fint til den søde malte smag.

Köpt @ Systembolaget. Mycket mango i smaken men framför allt doften. Bra sting från habaneron. Lite för söt för att den sks nå några högre höjder.

Hazy amber pour with small white head. Aroma of malts, mangos, caramel and spices. Taste of mangos, caramel malts, toffee, orange rind and habanero peppers. Full bodied, lower carbonation, creamy smooth mouthfeel, peppery hot finish that lingers. I really liked the initial first taste through the middle but the peppery hot finish just doesnt quite sit right with me.

With thanks to Kate. A very interesting special release from Founders. It is sweet, fruity, and loaded with hot pepper - definitely a punch-like beer, with a strong flavor of candied mango. It probably won’t be right for everybody, but I liked it. The aroma has lots of mango. Could this have been helped along by some artifical flavor? It doesn’t say, but if not, I’m impressed.

Gylden brun klar med to fingre høyt hvitt skum.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2016 Pours a hazy orange yellow color with a carbonated foam head, almost overly carbonated but it dissipates well. The aroma is full of sweet mango fruit, almost peach like. There is also a bubblegum scent probably from the hops. I noticed a muted spiciness when my nose got into my snifter. At tasting I got sweet honey and fruit. There is also a nice maltiness to this beverage. The bitterness does not balance out the sweetness but if it weren?t for the pepper flavor and its heat I might find this brew unbalanced and unpleasant. Yet I do enjoy this. You have a medium body, good finish, and it was kind to my palate. Overall the sweetness, bitterness, spiciness combine well together make an interesting brew.
