It’s not always a good thing when your reputation precedes you. But the complexity of this powerful wheat wine will give it a Sweet Repute no matter where, when or how your paths meet. Our brewing team painstakingly choreographed each layer of this beer’s characteristics, starting with a healthy wheat and roasted malt base and adding clean, fragrant hops. It’s one-hundred percent barrel aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels and bourbon barrels over the course of sixteen months, then blended using carefully calculated ratios for the ultimate final product. The resulting 12.6% ABV liquid pours a bright warm russet with a stubborn ivory head and an intoxicatingly sweet nutty aroma. Take your time allowing the layers of flavors to unfold… Because it’ll only get better.

Lightly hazed orange pour with white head and lace. Sweet dried fruitiness, abv, and resiny hops. Sweet sweet malt and a nice wheaty like resiny bitter. Very nice warmth. Medium full bodied with good carbonation. a beer I like alot

Sample from a bottle scored by my boss. Respectable amount of malt here that is OK, but not an exceptional BW.

Huge orange citrus aroma. Sweet and smooth. Looks viscous. Creamy off white head. Nice hazy orange sunset color. Taste is not so good.... Huge huge huge boozy note. Wheaty. Hint of orange in the finish. Palate is overly boozy... Medium body... I remember this being pretty solid at Christmas but maybe it was on account of the 12 hour drive up from South Carolina... It’s overly boozy not a lot of flavor lingering dull burn on the palate... Drinks like a cheap brandy. Still only the second bad beer from founders I’ve had.... Also the girl on the bottle is hot hot hot!!!

Had this at a recent tasting. Not at all impressed with this Founder’s offering. Pretty thin palate.

pours hazy golden orange, off white cream head, mild sediment. Aroma is burnt sugar, caramel, vanilla, maple syrup, licorice. Taste is similar, quite sweet which is fitting - maple syrup in the forefront, not getting a lot of bourbon other than vanilla, oak, lots of booze. Syrupy mouthfeel, abrasive medicinal in the finish. Decided I’m not the biggest fan of the maple barrels, similar off flavor in boltcutter, canadian, etc - cloying sweetness that almost has a licorice quality. This one similar to the 09 nemesis but I remember that one being much better.

Draft - Rich malts, apricot sweetness. Cloudy orange with a rich beige head. A bit boozy with the apricot with a yeast finish.
