Bomber at Jerry’s. Clear, but with debris, red-orange with good, creamy, white head, light wet lacing (barrel-aged) / Sweet nose of citrus, rind, bourbon barrel, hard caramel, hint of tobacco / Full body, sweet, fruity, chewy, some burn, excellent balance with some bitterness on the finish / Flavors of orange peel, fresh caramel, mellow bourbon barrel, grapefruit rind, maple syrup (power of suggestion?) / Founders has a way with these big boys.

(bottle - 750 ml) Cloudy copper pour. Sweet bourbon and maple syrup aroma hiding some dark fruits and malts. Flavor is sticky fruits mixed with the maple syrup and bourbon. Smooth and really warming. Glad we have another one of these to try in a few years.

Sample from a bottle scored by my boss. Respectable amount of malt here that is OK, but not an exceptional BW.

2.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Huge orange citrus aroma. Sweet and smooth.
Looks viscous. Creamy off white head. Nice hazy orange sunset color.
Taste is not so good.... Huge huge huge boozy note. Wheaty. Hint of orange in the finish.
Palate is overly boozy... Medium body...
I remember this being pretty solid at Christmas but maybe it was on account of the 12 hour drive up from South Carolina... It’s overly boozy not a lot of flavor lingering dull burn on the palate... Drinks like a cheap brandy. Still only the second bad beer from founders I’ve had.... Also the girl on the bottle is hot hot hot!!!
