COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s not always a good thing when your reputation precedes you. But the complexity of this powerful wheat wine will give it a Sweet Repute no matter where, when or how your paths meet. Our brewing team painstakingly choreographed each layer of this beer’s characteristics, starting with a healthy wheat and roasted malt base and adding clean, fragrant hops. It’s one-hundred percent barrel aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels and bourbon barrels over the course of sixteen months, then blended using carefully calculated ratios for the ultimate final product. The resulting 12.6% ABV liquid pours a bright warm russet with a stubborn ivory head and an intoxicatingly sweet nutty aroma. Take your time allowing the layers of flavors to unfold… Because it’ll only get better.

Damn, this one packs a couple crazy punches. The sweetness from the maple really comes through in the end. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from bottle into tulip: Pours hazy brown with a thin tan head. Aroma bourbon, oak, smells nice but can definitely tell sweetness is coming. Taste is way too sweet (it’s in the name, after all), bourbon comes through but so does the ABV. Also very nutty tasting. Sticky, cloying mouthfeel, full body, I don’t like it but I also don’t like overly sweet beers. At least I got to say I tried it!

pours a hazy orange amber with a thick white head...good lacing and retention. aroma has some mild fruity sweetness...almost cognac...lightly boozy and bourbony...sweet. flavor has vanilla and earthy hops...lightly oaky and mild boubon...maple sweetness, citrus and bourbon really giving a cognac note...enough oak and hoppiness to cut through the sweetness. mouthfeel is full and resinous with a dry oaky/earthy/boozy warming finish that lingers for quite a while. awesome!

Pours a golden amber out of bottle with beautiful one finger head. Aroma vanilla, bourbon, toffee and booze. Taste of sweet malt vanilla bourbon, toffee and even a hint of the maple syrup. Full body creamy mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Very nicely done. Maybe missing a tad bit of bitterness to offset sweetness.

Aroma has strong scent of bourbon with deep hints of maple. Taste is smooth and boozey. Great beer for relaxing in cold winter weather. Warning: only consume 1, any more and you won’t be driving!

Hazy amber/orange color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of toasted sweet malt, vanilla, maple, bourbon, & some fruit; Flavor of sweet malt, oak, maple syrup, caramel/toffee, fruit, spicy hops, and some licorice; Warm finish; Nicely balanced; Overall, on the sweet side - but pretty cool.

Bottle. Smell is bourbon, sweetness. Taste us bourbon up front, then syrup comes in strong in the after taste. Little alcohol warming too. I like it.

Tap. Frothy eggshell head, hazy burnt orange. Cotton Andy in both flavor and aroma, marshmallow, toffee, sweet but it too bad. Fluffy body, with solid carbonation. Grows on me as I sip.

On draft at Founders. The pour is a slightly foggy coppery gold with a mild white head that quickly fades down to a small ring around the edge. There is a slight spotty lace that's left. The aroma is very heavy on the booze. Beyond that, the small subtle hints of bourbon and vanilla protrude and the ever light presence of maple. There is a nice sugary caramel note as well, which makes for a nice complex nose. The flavor carries a small burn of alcohol on the first wave, and then the aromatic characters come through. The sweetness is surprising, and the bourbon and maple syrup bourbon tones mesh beautifully. The aftertaste is sweet, with vanilla and caramel notes that linger, with a nice mild hoppy finish, and the mouth feel is great. Not too thin, lingering flavors, great coverage. Another Founders success! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nah, NO WAY. This is diabeetus in a bottle. Extreme cloying, not a fan of this at all. What a way to completely waste bourbon maple barrels. Founders, you are really sucking at these backstage series
