It’s not always a good thing when your reputation precedes you. But the complexity of this powerful wheat wine will give it a Sweet Repute no matter where, when or how your paths meet. Our brewing team painstakingly choreographed each layer of this beer’s characteristics, starting with a healthy wheat and roasted malt base and adding clean, fragrant hops. It’s one-hundred percent barrel aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels and bourbon barrels over the course of sixteen months, then blended using carefully calculated ratios for the ultimate final product. The resulting 12.6% ABV liquid pours a bright warm russet with a stubborn ivory head and an intoxicatingly sweet nutty aroma. Take your time allowing the layers of flavors to unfold… Because it’ll only get better.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of sweet caramel, vanilla, maple syrup, bourbon, wood, almonds and dough. Wonderful. Medium copper/amber hue with a small white head that mostly diminished and left no lace. Lots of large particulate as well. Flavor is very sweet and very bitter. Palate is very full bodied and oily with soft carbonation. Overall I really liked this one. Very complex aroma that keeps getting better as it warms. Alcohol is very well hidden and mouth-feel is spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Bottle. Dark clear copper. Sweet caramel bourbon aroma. Taste adds lots of vanilla, oak, slight hint of maple syrup and huge alcohol sting. Rich smooth palate. Very sticky. Very huge beer and very tasty, if not a little too sweet.

Dark amber pour with a thin dense white head. Nose is sweet malt, maple, and some Bourbon. Taste is Sweet Bourbon, French Toast... Really unique experience. Boozy is almost an understatement.

On tap. Orange to gold in color. Lots of maple syrup and bourbon come through. Sweet and smooth palate. Definitely strong and a surprising amount of hops on the finish.

Pours a dark golden amber with a dissipating head, leaving a soft ring of foam that hugs my glass. The aroma is of malts, rich wheat, oak, bourbon, moderate maple sweetness, booze, light hops, and vanilla. The flavor is of sweet crystal malts, mild maple, vanilla, and sweet bourbon. The finish is sweet, boozy, and had a mild bitterness. Overall what a great drink. It is worth trying.

On draft at the Publick House. Pours a dark orange with a thick off white lacing. The aroma consists of notes of cherry, maple syrup, candy apple coating, vanilla and bourbon. Very sweet, but not cloying.

Poured at a good temperature with a large, foamy, frothy, cream-colored head that settled after a little bit and no lace. Color is a slightly hazy amber. Aroma is hugely malt, caramel, bit of spice. Flavor’s like nose, massively sweet, with a little bitter and tang to balance. Body/carbonation good. Finish is like flavor, long, slightly boozy. Not one of my Founders favs.
