COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s not always a good thing when your reputation precedes you. But the complexity of this powerful wheat wine will give it a Sweet Repute no matter where, when or how your paths meet. Our brewing team painstakingly choreographed each layer of this beer’s characteristics, starting with a healthy wheat and roasted malt base and adding clean, fragrant hops. It’s one-hundred percent barrel aged in maple syrup bourbon barrels and bourbon barrels over the course of sixteen months, then blended using carefully calculated ratios for the ultimate final product. The resulting 12.6% ABV liquid pours a bright warm russet with a stubborn ivory head and an intoxicatingly sweet nutty aroma. Take your time allowing the layers of flavors to unfold… Because it’ll only get better.

Draft - nose is butter. Very boozy. Yeasty. Boozy. Pale for a barley wine. Huge ass body. Sort of like scotch but fruity. Will remember this.

This brew has something special going for it. The taste of strong bourbon, with a hint of maple.

Bottle. Soft maple and vanilla in the nose initially. Medium white head. Dissipates quickly. Taste is full of vanilla and marshmallow and ice cream. This is great stuff. Some moderate alcohol warning in the finish but not hit or fusel. Tastes much better as it warms. Truly good poop.

Bottle share thanks to Homer321. Pours a light amber color. Aroma of Carmel, light fruity esters, sweet malt, alcohol, and shelf. Initially tastes like vanilla ice cream, very smooth and creamy. Notes of the maple and bourbon comes through as well. Kind of hot but not bad for 12+%. Very tasty overall.

Pours a light amber with a 1 finger whitish head. Aromas of bourbon, booze, wheat? Perhaps some dry roasted peanuts. Taste is sweet bourbon, mellow wheat. Not overdone on the barrel treatment, which is nice. Finish is a touch hot and sweet with a lingering bourbon note. Not bad.

Aroma is bourbon barrel, maple, sweet hops and malt. Appearance is orange, rust, not much head. Taste is great, sweet malt, bourbon heavy, maple, finishes hoppy. Mouthfeel is perfect, soft carbonation, wonderful. Overall, this is a lovely wheat wine!

On tap at Romans. Hazed amber with a creamy tan crown. Aroma is sweet an boozy with maple, vanilla, bourbon and oranges. Taste is too damn sweet with maple, booze, vanilla and some bourbon. Sticky and hot, this one didn’t quite do it for me.

750ml bottle, shared by somebody after Jackie-O’s 8th Anniversary. Clear golden orange color. Good thin off-white head. Some dots and ropes of lace. Good fruit, light caramel malt, good vanilla, light toastiness and wood notes. Bigger body, nice creamy texture, good chewiness. Dry finish, light, lightly soft light carbonation. Damn tasty bourbon barrel wheat barley wine.

Shared bomber poured to snifters displaying a hazed, orangey amber color, with a modest layer of soft white foam, and light streaks & spots of lacing. The aroma was profoundly sweet coconut, maple & caramel, light woodiness, and lurking alcohol. The taste was bourbony booziness, medium to full body, with a pleasant silkiness to the mouthfeel, but a caramelly/maple sweetness that was a bit too syrupy for me at this point. Although it might lose the coconut, will definitely appreciate this more after some cellaring.

On draft at Don’t Look Back. Clear yellow amber pour with almos no ring of white head. Sweet bourbony nose is very evident. And the flavor is a crazy blend of sweet oaky vanilla, wheat, nutty, citrusy hops, and ALCOHOL. Damn this thing is hot right now. Maybe in 2-3 years, this will develop into something more enjoyable, but right now, it’s just a booze bomb.
