Courtesy hopscotch. This one poured a reddish brown color with a thin white head. The aroma was of sweet malts, a small amount of bourbon, vanilla, caramel, and a hint of hops. The flavor was similar with the bourbon blended in with some cherry, vanilla, oak, caramel, and malts. The bourbon was present all the way through, but it didn’t overpower at all. The flavor on this one was great, and just really well balanced. It has a medium body with a creamy mouthfeel that followed with a smooth bourbony finish. I wish i could get more of this stuff, it was really good.

Pours dark copper with a faint head. Aroma is tart bourbon, malts, vanilla, sugars, oak. I’m usually not into
bourbon barrel beers but this one is quite nice. Nothing is overdone. Flavor is mild bourbon, maybe some cherry,
vanilla, malts and woody hints. I wish I would have bought more now. Oh well. Nicely done.

12oz Bottle Pours out like a hazy brown syrup topped with a very small off white head. WOW a great aroma of sweet caramel and wood. Tast is great more sweetness and some of that bourbon. This is a very good brew.

Bottles thanks to a couple fine folks! Poured deep, plummy caramel.. a little on the thicker side, with a nice, but short-lived cap of yellowy-beige head. The aroma was quite delightful, with hefty doses of barrel influence, but somewhat repressed Scotch Ale.. vanilla and sweet bourbon sugars first and foremost with warm drawn caramel and dark fruits accented by smoke behind.. really enjoyed it! The flavor had the same caramel and vanilla from the barrel on the sweet core, with rougher oak graininess and sweet bourbon all around the edges.. very sweet overall with good, but not great balance.. sharper bourbon and more vanilla leave quite an impression on the finish. Medium-bodied or a little thicker on the palate with moderate carbonation.. a little too much barrel influence, and a touch too sharp for my liking on the back. Overall a very good beer.

Pours out a nice hazy light to medium brown with a small tan head. Aroma is packed with vanilla, bourbon and oak. Nice mouthfeel with vanilla, bourbon, toasted malt with some earthy notes going on in the background. Finish is of some alcohol and bourbon. Very solid.

Pours caramelly brown colored with a thin yellowish head that dissipates quickly. Smells faintly of vanilla, bourbon and a bit of malt. This is about the "hottest" tasting barrel aged beer that I’ve tried. Tons of bourbon, and just plain booze, hit me up front. But as you swallow the flavor of the base brew really comes through. Malty and sweet with that Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy funky, malty, alcohol kick. Palate is good, very good. Nice thick brew with good carbonation. Not a bad beer. Not one of my favorite BA brews but definitely worth a try.

Poured a hazy brown color with a golden tint an almost no head. Sweet aroma with lots of vanilla, caramel and bourbon. The flavor is of bourbon and wood. Some caramel and a touch of vanilla. Touch of coconut in the aroma. Medium-full body and smooth mouthfeel. Some warmth.

12oz. bottle, with thanks to yjb for this excellent bonus! Pours a clear ruby tinted cola brown, with a moderate choppy tan head, good lacing. Aroma is charred oak, caramel, toffee and some candied dark fruits, as well as a slight bourbon presence. Flavor is more of the same, with a gentle sweetness and a bit more bourbon than on the nose. Overall it was milder than I was expecting, but tasty. Thanks again Yaniv!
