COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big and delicious for your ’perty mouth. Expect lovely, warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts. A bit of earthy spice and a scintilla of dark cherries. It’s a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate.

Poured a medium brown color with a small amount of haze. Sweet caramel malt mixes well with a strong bourbon woodsy aroma. Strong bourbon and oak taste. very slight aftertaste. the alcohol isnt that well hidden. earth, peat, cherries, vanilla. Very smooth and creamy.

Pours copper color with light, quickly dissipating head. Aroma of barley wine -like sweetness and some alcohol notes. Flavor of vanilla, sweet plums and ripe fruits. Like Tom Hardy’s ale in some ways.

12 oz. bottle, sent from BigTomz (thanks a lot Tom!), pours a beautiful dark mahogany / ruby red with a small ring of beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla, butterscotch / toffee malt, and wood - exquisite on the nose. Flavour of scotch whiskey and bourbon barrels upfront, followed by vanilla, a high booze factor, some candy floss, and more alcohol burn - the alcohol is a bit overburdening to be honest. Medium complexity with a big warming effect, though too much heat. Very enjoyable slow sipper, but loses points for the unmasked ABV.

Received in trade from barak316, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a slightly murky reddish brown with a tiny off white head that never really musters, but never fully dissipates either. Smells of sweet caramel and brown sugar with lots of dark fruit and oak and bourbon. The smell is heavenly really. Taste is as sweet as advertised but have enough bourbon warmth to keep is slightly balanced. Lots of dark sugars and dark fruits round out the flavor nicely. Medium to thick body with a light level of carbonation and a sweet sugary almost syrupy mouthfeel. I enjoyed the heck out of this beer! I only wish it were a little easier to obtain.

Good overall taste but not as much as one would think for a barrel aged brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

deep amber. Two finger white frothy head. Decent retention with sticky lacing through out. Strong vanilla aroma with noticeable bourbon and woodiness. Barrel notes mask most of the other smells. Roasted malt and smoke flavors. Definite woodiness. Sweet vanilla and bourbon flavors. Drinks smooth and creamy. Light carbonation.

Aroma was somewhat subtle, dark Scottish carmels and just a touch of the whiskey, wow, nothing subtle about the taste, big bold smooth sweet bourbon, mixed with carmel, toffee, and hints of dark fruit, the silky palate is wonderful. As good as any barrel aged I’ve had
