Big and delicious for your ’perty mouth. Expect lovely, warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts. A bit of earthy spice and a scintilla of dark cherries. It’s a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate.

From bottle. Pours a deep ruby red with an instantly vanishing beige head. Bourbon, thats the initial blast of aroma. Once that settles down I get some lighter hints of vanilla, dark fruit, and more bourbon. Taste is much of the same, and delicious. The bourbon is very forward, nicely balanced with vanilla and roasted malts. MF is what you would expect, just enough body to be velvety without being stout-like. Finishes with a nice warm bourbon feel. Truthfully, I don’t normally drink scotch ales, but this one is outstanding.

Had a sample at WOBFest 2016. Ran to this booth first, and Founders did not disappoint. Nice coffee flavor offset by notes of scotch and some cherries. Started the day on a high note.

Nose is nutty, brown bread, spice, subtle bourbon, caramel, dark fruits. Taste comprises dark fruit rinds, bourbon oak, dark malts, spice, earthy. Medium + body, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the close. Decent for style ... good boost leve.

Saveurs de caramel, malt rôtie et fruits séchés. Une belle présence de sucre et d’alcool qui ne sont toute fois pas envahissants. Tres bien.
