Big and delicious for your ’perty mouth. Expect lovely, warm smells of single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts. A bit of earthy spice and a scintilla of dark cherries. It’s a kick-back sipper made to excite the palate.

12 oz. Bottle from 9/28/12 poured into snifter. Pours a deep amber brown almost completely opaque with a small, quickly dissipating light tan head. Aroma of oak, bourbon, vanilla, butterscotch and dark fruit. Flavor has a big hit of bourbon and smokey oak at the start followed up with vanilla, toffee and fig. Leaves a warming bourbon taste on the finish. The mouth feel on this beer is great, nice and smooth. Medium body with low to medium carbonation. Overall a fantastic beer, great balance of woody bourbon with the sweetness and very smooth.

Bottle. Pours a clear brown with sweetish aroma of malts, whiskey, toffee. Can easily taste the alcohol / whiskey taste but surprisingly mellow.

12 Oz bottle. Pours clear dark brown with a tan head. Aromas of bourbon and vanilla with some cinnamon. Flavor is sweet with lots of vanilla and bourbon. Strong bitterness comes on at the end, leaving a bourbon and roasted malt linger. Medium-full body with a sticky mouthfeel and average carbonation. Overall, not a very subtle beer. Lots of bourbon and sweet malt. Not my cup of tea.

Wow, awesome! One of the best beers of this style out there. IMHO, better than Burbon County Stout.

Bourbonsmak i blandad choklad. Söt & maltig karamell. Alkoholen döljs väl. En fantastisk öl! En av mina favoriter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flaske fra vinmonopolet. Mørk rød/brun, klar farget. Moderat karbonert med en lav skumtopp. Smaker whiskey, røyk, eik , bourbon, jord, kirsebær. Fantastisk god

Dark red-amber color. Pours a tan, creamy head. Nice, frothy lace patterns. Caramelized sugar, bread, lots of toffee and light Scotch in the nose. Tastes of caramelized sugar, Bourbon, bready malts, peat, warming alcohol, light nuttiness, oak and toffee. Hops show up in the finish as it warms. Tasted back to back with a Dirty Bastard. Less hoppy, notes of the DB, but this has more depth and is better. I don't know if there could be a better Scotch Ale imo. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
