Growler courtesy of a traveling friend. The beer pours a dark ruby-purple color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits and malt. Light body with a mildly tart raspberry and cherry flavor, with some bready malt in the background. The finish is fruity with a lingering berry aftertaste. Won’t make anyone forget Belgian Red but still pretty good.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear, deep ruby colored body with a finger-width, frothy, pink head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is rich cherries and moderately sweet malts with a bit of a biscuit note. Touches of spice in here with a light tartness and a slight vinous note. Flavor is similar. Rich cherries with a light tartness, touches of spice, and a bit of a biscuity malt sweetness. Finishes crisp, clean, and very lightly tart with a lot of rich, fresh cherries. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a soft, crisp, moderate carbonation. Overall, a really great fruit beer. Rich cherries, a light tartness, touches of spice, and bit of biscuity sweet malting. Nice one.

Growler brought back from Founders by birchstick- thanks again, Jon! Pours a clear ruby color with a small ruby-tinted head. Raspberry, cherry, and sweet malts on the nose, maybe a little backing spice. The flavor is the same but has a little tartness; the nose doesn’t. Medium-bodied, with a fruity, juicy, vinous mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Overall, it’s sweet and fruity and nice. If you tend to like more tartness in your fruit beers, you might be a little let down.

Draft to taster at Founder’s. Looks good; a fruity red with lively carbonation and thin white lacing. Smells fruity and a little spicy. Tastes like it smells only better, with nice balance and a pleasant mouthfeel. Really good!
