| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jan 1, 2008 Bottle: Deep red, darker than blood, almost brownish but with big pink highlights.   Head falls quickly, was a pinkish fizzly
sorta start.   Lacing is spotty, at best.   Fruity nose, also very vinous.   Seems like a cross between a Raspberry wine cooler
and straight up wine.   Very minor alcohol, and when I say minor I mean minor.   Wow!   This one does have some fruity flavor
that not only is fairly strong, doesn’t taste artificial, all while having a tart aspect to it that just zings!   Hot damn this tastes
good.   Unlike other really good Fruit Beers, this one does not get cloying.   It has a tart factor that is just appropriate for
this one.   12.3% ABV?   You gotta be kidding me.   Drinks much lighter than that.   Well hidden then ey?   Fruity,
slightly dry, certainly tart, with a clean fruity finish.   Damn, this is much better than I anticipated.   The tartness, and the
dry factor for this beer just grab me.   Next to their Breakfast stouts, this has got to be one of my favorite Founders brews.
In looking at the list of Founder’s brews, these guys make some very fine examples.   I wished we had this stuff out in
Washington.   The body and mouthfeel on this one are superb, moderate to full, dry, tart, and just so delicious.   I wished I had
another bottle to follow up with this one, and one after that, and one after that, and so on.   Clean finish, dry, tart, fruity, and who
woulda thunk this is 12.3% ABV.   Great brew, even better brewers!   Styles, I am sure glad you sent one my way!

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 29, 2007 Many thank to mkofron for this fine beer. Pours purplish copper with a fizzy pink head. The aroma has lots of raspberries - it even seems like you are smelling the seeds. The aroma is between dry and sweet and comes across as very natural. There is some rich malt hiding in the background. Medium / full body that is rich and creamy with subtle carbonation. The flavor starts with smooth rich raspberries that are very authentic. There is none of the metallicness or cough syrup that comes with many fruit beers. The finish has a lushness and some smooth spices with some sharp tartness. I have to wonder how this is 12.3% since alcohol is nowhere on the taste, but then the effects of the beer let you know it is there. Thumbs up for this delicious beer. grandet (480), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 24, 2007 This pours a pretty red color with a foamy pink head that left nice lacing on the glass. Very fragrant fresh raspberry nose that reminded me of a raspberry/currant jelly my mom used to make. Sweet/tart raspberry, currant, sour cherry and maybe a little wood flavors. None of the nasty artificial chemical taste you get with some fruit beers. This tastes all natural. The ABV is masterfully hidden. My parents, who usually turn their noses up when I give them beers to try, really enjoyed sharing this beer. After the mess that was Rubeaus, this is a great treat from Founders. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Dec 24, 2007 22. Pours bloomin’ red but settles into near blackness in the glass. Thick, sudsy pink foam for a head, settles to light webby lacing and a slim rim. Huge raspberry nose--just acres and acres of fresh raspberries on the vine in a hot summer field, though with some white sugar added, so ya don’t wanna go too crazy with the au naturel points, I guess. Thick but not sticky or syrupy body with some carb, though not a ton of the bubble stuff. Heavy syrupy concentrate flavors but not in a synthetic way--just very condensed jammy fruit. Some white sugar also seems present. Not much happening in the way of ale-y flavors. Long fruity sticky finish. franksnbeans (265), Columbus, Maryland, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 23, 2007 Pours a brilliant light crimson with a frothy pink head that dies to a ring. Very lively carbonation. Smells of huge, sweet raspberries, and....raspberries. Taste is awesome. Juicy fresh raspberries that are sweet and tart. Makes me pucker with delight. Medium in the mouth with a great tickle on the toungue from the lively carbonation. ABV is absolutely non existant. This beverage is an absolute delight!

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Deep bloody red pour, with a faint pink head. Aroma is fresh raspberries. Flavor is raspberry, medium tart and sourness just the right amount. Gueze like belgian sourness with a touch of gueze soapiness. It really is a a balance of a gueze and raspberry tart. Very well done.
