Pours deep ruby red with thin purpleish head. Aroma of raspberries and funk. Nice sweet raspberries up front then turns tart.

On tap @ Founders. Poured a dark red with a big fluffy pink head. Big time raspberry aroma from this. The flavor was also very much raspberry with some good sweet and tart to match. I like this one, but they have it way overpriced at the brewpub.

Pours dark red with little head. Huge raspberry aroma, a little belgian funk in there as well. Some sweet, quite tart and sour. Good stuff, but not worth the price.

Thanks to OChaos for this midwest brew. Pours a deep red with a slightly red head. Nice looking brew. Smells a little winie to me, but not over the top. AS it warms the alcohol comes out in it. Taste very fruity, not a whole lot of brew in there IMO. Still, one of the better fruit/vrg brews I have had. The ABV never really come out in this, which is nice if I can get my wife to drink it. :excited:

On tap at Capone’s. Dark blood red with very fine suspended sediment and a puffy pink head. Swirls of lace. Nose is raspberry preserves and that’s about it. Raspberries and tart pits with slight yeasty drying. Menthol mouth-numbing but no discernable alcohol. Mild carb, medium light but full of flavor.

Draft: Poured at the brewery shortly after its release; burgundy, bordering on a black raspberry color and no head to speak of. HUUUUGGGEE raspberry yeast aroma but not to the point of overkill. Very silky/creamy mouth feel. Flavor is a conglomeration of tart mixed berries and some lightly roasted malt. Great stuff and the alcohol was masked nicely.

Thanks to brewblackhole. Redish/purple color. Smell of malt, raspberries, vanilla, oak/wood, caramel and minor red wine. Taste of the same. Alcohol well hidden. Could hardly taste it. Wonder fruit beer.

Hazed to lightly cloudy cranberry color. Couple fingers of what appear fizzy, but lasting bubbles. Syrupy raspberry to near fragrant soap scents. A hint of wheat and banana, but the floral components are a bit much for me. I keep looking for the alcohol in the nose, but don’t catch it. Rich and full in feel. Just enough zip to give it some life along with a bit of acidity to lighten the feel. It’s a nice warm end of summer day here and this one seems to complement the warm weather. I’m starting to feel the blush, but I am not detecting it in the flavor. Just a slight burn on the back of the tongue and a little lightheadedness. As this warms the flavors are showing a hint of alcohol, but in a liqueur type fashion. Raspberries and cream, with a little vanilla and touch of vodka. Not real tart, more acidic. This is a dangerous fruit beer. I wish I had this in High School, for no other reason than I liked fruit beer more then. Yeah, that’s why.
