Clear, deep cherry body with a small white head.
Big berry aroma.
Sweet at the start, going tart into the finish.
The extremely high abv comes across as a bit of cough medicine but it stays in check. BDR (2154), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

Very similar flavor profile but with a pronounced sweetness. I’ve known people who will drink entire glasses of the Monk. It’s a bit too fruity (and expensive) for me to do that. That said, I highly recommend mixing it with a stout or porter. Usually a splash will do the trick. I haven’t mixed it with Young’s Double Chocolate or Breckenridge’s Vanilla Porter, but I have a feeling it would be a dynamite combination.
