Bottled. An unclear dark red beer with a thin pinkish head. The aroma is sweet with notes of red berries, while the flavor is sweet yet with an acidic edge from the raspberries.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Papsoe (22983) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 1, 2007
(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of sliffy. Pours a slightly hazy, warm, reddish with a small, pinkish head. Very distinct and intense raspberry aromas. Quite full-bodied with distinctly sweet raspberry accents - unfortunately a little chemical and soapy in the finish with also some acidity. No hop presence though. Too much of a good thing really. 280907

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 argo0 (9226) - Washington DC, USA - OCT 15, 2008
(22oz bottle) Crystal clear pink-red body topped by medium off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, berry (raspberry, blueberry, and light blackberry), syrup. Taste is sweet, but the raspberry has the attendant astringency that is absent from the aroma. Some alcohol presence hints at the ABV. Medium-full body, low carbonation.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 bierkoning (8109) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - AUG 30, 2009
Bottle from Secreta Santa. Ruby red color. Raspberry jam and a hint of oak in the aroma. Sweet, sugary flavor with raspberries, totally hiding the alcohol. But the alcohol is there, I assure you! Hints of lemon and honey, the tartness only comes from the fruit. Interesting and loveable beer. Too sweet, but there is enough to compensate.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (7587) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 13, 2009
Bottle from ericandersnavy. Thanks very much for this one! Pours very dark ruby with a light pink head. The aroma is fresh raspberry. Medium body with mild carbonation. Primary flavor is raspberry. Somewhat tart. Could be a bit of detectable malt. Finish is all raspberry and raspberry seed for bitter. Just slightly acidic after awhile.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2007 Bottle... Cloudy pink ale with orange highlights and a small, pink head. Sugary sweet nose with medium acidity, raspberry and resin. Medium sweet flavor with a matching level of fruity tartness. The high ABV is warm, but doesn’t burn. Full-bodied and oily with moderate carbonation. Lengthy, sweet and tart, tongue-numbing finish. This bottle was courtesy of growler!
