Quitting laughing you pervs! The aroma contains raspberries and some hints of apple. The flavor contains some raspberries and sour apples. The 12.3% does not show at all in this beer. The mouthfeel was very carbonated. Decatursteveo called this a "date rape beer" Well anyways.....a great one in the league of the New Glarus fruit beers. ChainGangGuy (2619), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Appearance: Pours a dark, rubyish body with a foamy, fizzy, off-white head with a touch of pink to it.
Smell: Raspberries, baby! A rich, juicy, perfumy, somewhat sweet-smelling aroma of fresh fruit. When it comes to raspberries, Founders doesn’t screw around.
Taste: Ahh, juicy, sweet raspberry nectar with a light tartness. Slight cherry character as well. Faint touch of booze. Profound concentrated fruit flavor from beginning to end. Warming, drying, slightly spicy finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Excellent! An impressive, sumptuous brew that delivers tons of great flavors and a punchy alcohol percentage, yet it remains very, very drinkable. It’s no Dogfish Head Fort (thankfully). Love me some Blushing Monk! HopHobo (12), Lansing, Michigan, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Updated: Nov 19, 2009Just had this beer the other day at the Brewery in Grand Rapids. This is one exceptional beer! Labeled as a Belgian Trippel fermented with raspberries and the ABV is 12.3%. Kind of a champagne type mouth feel with huge amounts of raspberry aroma and taste. You would never know that this beer is as high in ABV as it is indicated because is it is dangerously smooth going down. It would be easy to call this a "chick beer" because of the flavor, but I would venture to guess that even the biggest of beer drinkers would have a short night after a couple of glasses of this beer. That being said this beer is my wifes favorite and it is simply delicious for a fruit beer. I’m still much more of a KBS fan, but this is a nice touch to drink on occasion.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2007 22oz bottle. Aroma: fresh raspBEERies slight green grass smell as well. Appearance: Ruby red with a light pink head. delicate, but lingering, lacing.
Flavor: A blasting of tart raspberries, light yeast with a slight sour then sweet finish. Palate: Good mouth-feel, medium bodied. nice tight carbonation. VERY slight alcohol finish. Verdict: What a great beer, wonderful way to introduce someone into high ABV beers with out scaring them away. dra19 (89), holland, Michigan, USA

Bottle from Charles Street Liquors. Maybe the best fruit beer I’ve ever had, and by that I mean ’maybe better than Kuhnhenn’s framboise.’ But where the Kuhn’s miracle is making a barrell-aged beer taste like a raspberry tree, Founders’ claim to fame is they make a 12.3% raspberry beer not taste like raspberry vodka (read: DOGFISH FORT) but candy! That one wouldn’t hesitate to give their own children! This beer is a milestone. Swolf3 (253), Elkton, Maryland, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Bottle thanks to WeeheavySD Thanks! Poured maroon with small head. Aroma was sweet tart and raspberries. Taste was similar almost like a wine spritzer. Very easy to drink for 12.3%. The sweet and tart bounces back and forth and was a very enjoyable beer. Now I just need more lol. Suttree (2751), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 13, 2008 Updated: Apr 16, 2008Nice surprise here. It Pours pink, and a huge aroma of raspberry - kind of a mix of fresh raspberry and raspberry candy. Flavor is crisp raspberry and not at all cloying. Raspberry definately dominates the flavor, but mixed with Sprite and Champaigne. Tasty stuff.
