Pours a light bronze with a nice white head. Smells very strongly of candy-dipped apples. Hints of bourbon and booze. Whoa, apple overload on the initial taste. Nearing on cider. Slighlty tart green apple skins. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and slightly boozy. Drinkability is good considering what’s going on, but not one of the things I’m really pining for them to bottle. On tap at the the brewpub in Grand Rapids, MI. It poured with a pretty nitrogen bright cream white head, with a body that looked like apple juice. Perhaps one of the most imperceptible aromas I’ve experienced in a beer, but there is just a hint of apples and cream. The flavors here are fully realized however in the nicely creamy body. My experience with other cream ale is that the body of the beer leaves something to be desired, but this one has a decent kick. Simple notes with fresh apples and whipped cream. Also, light n tart berry, citrus fruit juice and rice pudding grains. Not at all bad.

On tap at brewery, porus a very light color, almost reminded me of apple juice, has aroma of apples, vanilla and bourbon, flavor is very sweet with a light boozy finish, has a light carbonation, overall this was weird but very enjoyable.

Draft at Founders. Pours a light golden color. Medium sized white head. Aroma of apples and a touch of bourbon. Flavor is of green apples. Low carbonation. Light to medium palate. Creamy and smooth. Very easy drinking, do not notice the alcohol. A fun seasonal beer.

Tap at founders... Pours a pale yellow orange haze with a creamy vivid white head... Green apple, bourbon, and vanilla in the nose with some added boozy phenols... Light bodied cream ale with apparent but Not too assertive apple notes. Little in the way of bourbon and wood but some added vanilla does exist. Grains come through in the middle and finish. Body is fluffy with a thin flimsy textured yet smooth and light.

this was a bit disappointing. clear straw body with large white head. the bourbon seemed to dominate all aspects of the beer (altho this was expected). slight apple juice nose and flavor. super easy to drink..

On tap at Founders. Golden, apple juice color with a long-lasting creamy white head. Apple and bourbon in the nose. The palate is light-bodied, very smooth creamy with a short finish. Apple and bourbon sweetness up front, but finishes dry. Enjoyable. Very easy to drink. A great advancement for a generally boring style.
