From tap at Founder’s, light yellow amber color, no head whatsoever. Nose has vanilla whiskey, caramel. Body is light with very light carbonation, slightly sweet throughout, finish is whiskey and tons of vanilla. Better than I remember it being the first time. It’s definitely something different, and would only recommend to someone who enjoys whiskey.

On tap at the brewery. A bright very clear gold color. A bright white thin head. A very light hopped nutty aroma. Full hopped bitterness. Slight strength. Not very flavorful surprisingly. It’s decent. Maybe a too hard of an attempt.

Look at it this way: a PBR with a shot of whiskey is the poor man’s version of this delicious beer. Thin lacing with a clear, straw colored body. Smells of sweet liquor, bread. The bourbon sweetness dominates, but notes of hops and toast nicely compliment the bourbon. Thin mouthfeel, but the complex flavors make up for it. I hope they bottle this someday.

Clear dark golden with shiny off white head. Aromatic nose. Sweet malty Vanilla bubblegum. Light body Mellow barreled texture. Notes of corn and whiskey. i don’t know about their claim on the future of B.A beers but its tastes like a good pale + whiskey so no complaints

Draft at Paradiso Dupont. Clear very pale yellow color, white head. Aroma of nicely floral lemon. Taste is boozy hard liquor, the kind you drink out of a paper bag. Or so I’ve heard.

Draft Sample @ Brewvival 2014. Amber pour with a modest white head. Very boozy, aggressive nose. Wood and toffee. The flavor’s pretty unique. Booze-steeped poppyseed cake. Rum raisin. Toffee and a bit of vanilla. Full and rich. Sort of all over the place.

NikkTwist (1913) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 15, 2014
Draft at Khyber Pass. Hard to tell by the light in here but appears to be a hazy yellow gold pour. Started with a large foamy head. Lots of oaky vanilla bourbon flavors. Watery tropical fruit juices fill most of the body. Watermelon. Guava. Mango. Peaches. White cherries. Cotton candy. Not too sweet though. Slight spicy finish. Unusual.

Draft. Amber pour, frothy lacing. Smell is swwwt bourbon and vanilla. Flavor is a bit hot. Definitely a pale ale underneath. Interesting.

This is by far my favorite whiskey inspired beer. Tastes as closed to the real drink as can be with a beer. Fantastic!
