3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2006 I think this is way over-rated. It is heavy on the coffee, but it isnít rich at all. You can drink this with a fork? Give me a break. Tastes oily and there is no head.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Black pour, thin tan head. Aroma of coffee, oats, and a hint of vanilla. Flavor has a bit of a fruity sweetness at first with an intense coffee flavor. Deliciously thick, I might follow the lableís lead and go get a spoon.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is wonderful with scents of coffee, chocolate, maple surup pancakes, oatmeal, and fresh peanuts. Exquisite taste, freshly ground coffee is most prevelant with many notes of oatmeal, dark chocolate, and dark fruit. This truly is like smelling and eating a rich breakfast. Awesome brew one of the best founders Iíve ever tried.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2005 Special thanks to Landseer for this gem! Poured black with a dark brown head. Aroma was huge coffee and roasted notes with such a pleasantly sweet chocolate. The chocolate in the aroma didnít shine through right away, but once I found it I couldnít believe how glorious it was. Sweet, scrumptious, and just plain dominant. Has a lush malty body complimented with a perfectly sweet chocolate. Coffee, oatmeal, and vanilla complimented one of the best if not the best chocolate flavor I have experienced in a beer. This was an unbelievable experience. It was my perfect balance of flavors.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and what a way to begin! A Christmas gift from my son, I enjoyed this prior to the Christmas turkey. Huge coffee aroma, with an outstanding mouthfeel. Not as much oatmeal taste as chocolate and coffee. Superbly crafted. A new favorite stout.

Lovely port, fruit, chocolate aroma. Pours a very nice reddish-brown, thin head. Earthy and complex palate. Goes down easy. Sweetish wine flavours. Slight sour finish with alcohol.

4.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Regular strong stout aroma. Even sounds good in the pour. Black with lasting thin islands of foam. Like drinking a cloud. Maybe the perfect stout flavour. Beautiful smooth. A touch of fruit. Additional coffee and sweet chocolate.
