4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Black color with mocha head. Aroma is full of chocolate and coffee, like a sweet coffee drink. Taste follows but more balanced, not really sweet but still chocolate and coffee forward. Really heavy and smooth body with soft carbonation. No alcohol whatsoever, extremely drinkable, smooth and tasty.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
In a time where every imperial stout needs to be over 10% ABV and preferably double barrel aged, it seems almost somehow wrong to call this an imperial stout. It’s a great, balanced coffee stout that is smooth and aromatic and tastes fantastic.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tasted from a 12oz. bottle. It poured an opaque brown/black with a brown head that cascaded to thick frothy perfection and left rings of heavy lacing. Roasted malt, semisweet chocolate, and coffee nose. The taste is rich and complex, yet very well balanced. Roasted cafe mocha with a pronounced malt backbone. Bravo Founders for brewing the Breakfast Stout of Champions!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 355ml. Served at cellar temperature. Pours a deep dark brown (virtually black). Head is tanned, dense, foamy (almost creamy) and lasts very well in the glass. Aroma is very strong and slightly rich with notes of roasted oats, toast, strong black coffee, coco, dusted chocolate cake, prunes and hints of treacle. Flavour is a medium roasted bitterness with strong notes of bitter cooking chocolate and black coffee; oats, prune, treacle, hints of salted licorice and a roasted/toasty finish. Medium to full bodied with a slightly syrupy texture, soft carbonation and a good length finish.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
0,33 bottle from vinmonopolet - Pours a jet black color with a quickly dissapating head. May have to do with the amount of coffee in this brew. Aroma has quite a lot of chocolate and coffee. Flavor much of the same, with some toffee and breadcrust. Finish is well balanced and quite dry for an imperial stout.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAR 22, 2016 Appearance: Jet Black, Small Head; Nose: Heavy/Intense Roasted Coffee; Taste: Full Bodied yet Balanced, dominate roasted coffee as the nose suggest and transitions into this sweet malt and oats with a bit of a dark chocolate bitter finish that seems to linger. Mouth/Feel: Smooth yet robust. A Wonderful Stout! Overall: 4.2 out of 5

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0.355 bottle. Black color and a small, brownish head. Aroma of coffe, roasted malts, oatmeal, and a touch of hops. Taste is sweet, malty, fruity, chocolaty; coffee once again dominates the experience but not to a fault. A full body, a creamy texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is even more coffee-like and this time the flavor is a tad too strong. Overall it is a decent beer but I do not understand the hype around it.
