UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 From a bottle. Dark with tan head and good lacing. Well named stout, would definitely have it for breakfast... Chocolate chip buckwheat pancakes with syrup and a great cup of coffee with cream ... Yum!!! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark brown cappuccino-like head. Deep brown body. Big roasted coffee aroma. Taste of burnt coffee beans, roasted malt, and aftertaste lingers with dark chocolate. Very thick and looong aftertaste.

Pours from the bottle black with a tan head and lots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. Flavor is nicely sweet with a good balance of bitterness, coffee, chocolate, and roasted malts. Very smooth. Nice carbonation and creamy mouthfeel. This is a very nice stout.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Chalky dark brown with a big, foamy brown head. Mild coffee aroma. Strong coffee taste with a mild cocoa finish. A little chalky, but mild, smooth body. Better as it warms. Dangerous hiding of strength.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at Square Burger. Pours black with a thin tan head. The aromas are dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, more dark roasted coffee, (you get the idea). The mouthfeel is bitter (chewy), dry and has a very heavy body with a light to almost no carbonation. This thing is like drinking alcoholic coffee! Damn itís good! Cheers!

One of the best imperial stouts Iíve ever had. Coffee coffee coffee! The name properly describes the tasre. Breakfast. Its like its like oatmeal with coffee in the morning. A bit of sweet cocoa. Although its 8,3%, I barely taste alcohol. Great Stout.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Dark cola colored beer with a brown, frothy head. Strong aromas of rich coffee, and dark chocolate. Tastes of dark chocolate, dark/powerful coffee, earthy notes, and molasses. Not as sweet as the name may lead one to believe, bittersweet coffee finish. Full bodied, oily mouth feel, and quite heavy/filling. Taste is delicious, a perfect blend of coffee/chocolate even if the coffee is a bit overpowering. High ABV is nicely hidden. This was really good and worth the wait.
