COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Youíve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. Weíre actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Tap at Muddy Waters. Tulip glass. Consumed with HopkinsSam. Aroma brings bread and coffee notes to the table. Dark black color with surprisingly more white than tan head. Taste is plenty of coffee dark roast. A definite smoothness that impresses but having some trouble getting past its coffee commitment overall. Wow, this lacing looks impressive. Good bite at the end. I think itís good and I like some of the bitterness. Good but not exactly by style.

12oz bottle from Wegmans, Buffalo, NY. This is a dilemma, a really great beer, but it is built around one of my fundamental dislikes - sweet coffee - a long time ago I put sugar in coffee, nowadays I donít, and find it repulsive. So how to rate this? Putting aside my personal dislikes, this is a star of a stout - sweet and milky, with the oats adding to the body, full of coffee and chocolate flavours; and with a silky warming finish. But on the other hand the sweetness combined with the coffee in the finish is a real downer. Hopefully Iíve not let my predudices impact my overall impression of this beer to much.

On tap at Taphouse. Black with a small brown head. Aroma has coffee, coffee, coffee and bitter dark chocolate. Taste has coffee, bitter dark chocolate and a nice bitterness, a slight tart/astringent note as well. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, smooth silky mouth feel. Dry bitter after taste with slight alcohol heat.
Iíve had this before and it made no big impression on me as it (then) tasted like stale coffee. This was a whole new thing, loads of coffee and dark chocolate. Really nice!

Bottle, thanks bluus, 30/01/15. Pours a dark brown, black with a good, dark-latte colored head. Aroma is quite a hit of chocolate, some roast and oats. The oatiness is quite strong in the taste. Quite roasty too with plenty of coffee. Chcolate is a little weaker. Fairly stiff finish. Full with medium carbonation. Definitely good though somewhat lighter than expected.

What I Think about this varies but today I think itís pretty good as im drinking american ales. Jet Black, very small cream head, very little lacing, smooth, no noticeable carbonation. My husband loves it. A pretty tasty oatmeal coffee double chocolate stout that is not boozy but is only 8.3%.
