Bottle great taste coffee chocolate molasses slightly sticky lingering aftertaste.

Elle est noire et coiffée d’une mousse dense, capiteuse et persistante laissant une écume autour du verre. Les odeurs sont typique au style, c’est-à-dire de grains grillés, de mélasse et de café noir. Sa texture veloutée nous amène ses différentes saveurs sur un plateau, ce qui nous laisse amplement le temps de goûter à toutes ses particularités, une à la suite de l’autre., qui, elles, sont semblables aux arômes, avec une touche chocolatée que je n’ai pu détecter au nez. L’alcool, d’une façon ou d’une autre est bien dissimulé, ou plutôt intégré. Belle et douce amertume en finale. Merci Louis! (512-080113)

Superb light espresso / dark coffee nose with a subtle use of cacao and oats, strong acidity from coffee on follow through with a lasting quality of oatmeal finally there; finish has chocolate, roasted malts, and sits on the back on the tongue in a very pleasant way.

Bottle. Pours pitch black, with a finger thick mocha head. Aroma is burned malts, camp fire, coffee and chocolate, as well as tobacco, bread and a pleasant hoppiness. Full creamy body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with coffee, chocolate and toffee, as well as some dark fruits and molasses, and a long, nice burned bitterness in the finish. Nice velvety stuff, and quite easy drinking. Still it’s a bit of a disappointment considering its rating.

Enjoyed out of a tulip. Pours a thick, slick looking opaque black, with two + fingers of frothy tan head. Leaves behind some sexy lacing. The aroma is creamy coffee and chocolate, with a hint of roasty malts. Taste is rich bitter-sweet chocolate, and coffee, with a long roasty bitter coffee bean after taste. Fucking delicious. The palate is heavy bodied, smooth creamy texture, like liquid velvet. This beer is completely richeous, and is the standard by which I judge most stouts. One of my go to beers, pick some up if you’ve never tried it.

When it comes to drinking a beer at breakfast...this is it! Chewy chocolate coffee and deep dark rich thick bodied enjoyable dream! Aftertaste is Hershey and Starbucks. Love it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

So delicious. Great balance, big but refreshing. Subtle coffee. Toasty. A really great mouthfeel.

A beer that you can chew. Taste is of pitch black coffee, just the way I like it. Pours with a nice dark black and a thin head. Did I mention it tastes like coffee and oats? Cause that’s what it tastes like. Seconded only by the Lion stout in my list of favorite stouts.

Small bottle - shared by Dennoman - thx dude! - Pours light black with a thin white head. Nose is quite metallic and roastd coffee. Quite a light mouthfeel to be imperial... Actually, I found it to be very watery which I did not like a bit. Instrinsic taste is coffee and dark chocolate.
