You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

This beer really live up to the name of "Breakfast Stout". It has wonderful coffee aroma as well as flavor with some breadiness and chocolate tones that make you feel as if you are having coffee and a chocolate french toast. This is a thick beast of a Stout and I driving 3 hours to pick up another 6 pack or 2 this weekend.

Deep black color, opaque. No visible carbonation (but there’s no visible anything - opaque!). 1/2 inch tan creamy head with sticky lacing. Toasted coffee and chocolate dominates the aroma. Thick mouth feel, little carbonation apparent to the tongue. Mild, matly, coffee, smoky, cocoa flavor. Slight bittering in the middle that fades in the sweet, coffee & chocolate finish. This is an enjoyable beer, but basically a duet between the coffee and the chocolate with the thick body holding them up. A bit too one-dimensional (OK, two-dimensional). I’m surprised it is rated so highly by so many,

Pours like motor oil with a thin brown head. Aroma is of strong bitter coffee grounds. Taste like strong coffee with a bitter chocolate roasted finish.

Bottle pour into pint glass. Aroma is strong, dark roasted rich coffee with some chocolate. Appearance is opaque black with thin ring of light brown head with minimal lacing. Taste is mix of sweet chocolate and rich coffee bitterness, trading off dominance, with slight alcohol at the finish. Palate is medium to thick bodied with soft, velvety texture, soft carbonation and pleasantly bitter finish with some alcohol. Overall, this is really good but as the deScription reads, "not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer." When you add this much stuff to your basic beer ingredients, when have you lost the art of coaxing these flavors out of the original ingredients and you are just making something else? Delicious either way, but slight demerits for blatant augmentation and for not concealing the alcohol.

Bottle @ Enotika Cerro Maggiore.

12oz into glass. Nice black pour. Full bodied, genuine Stout. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, nuts, taste of the same. Nice abv kick, mends well with the flow of this Stout. Excellent.

I had it on tap. It pours an almost black color with a tan head and little lacing. The aroma is coffee and chocolate. The taste is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, sugary milk, and some alcohol. It’s balanced well. It’s pretty smooth with a bit of carbonation. This is very good.
