You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Poured into a tulip glass. Black as a desert night. A nice finger of tan head formed and continued to come together after the pour. I could smell it in the pour. Dark chocolate, black malt, alcohol and milk chocolate. Strong and rich. Tastes black; bitter chocolate, alcohol and burnt grain. Super smooth, a little creamy, medium body and moderate carbonation. I was surprised by the alcohol smell and taste. It does not have an exceptionally high ABV. Still, the smell was perfect: big and bold. The taste was incredible. Perfect accompaniment to breakfast or a bourbon.

Sample from bottle at Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival. Thick oily black with a deep tan head. Yes, I do like my breakfast coffee. This is coffee with coffee and an extra espresso. Then some slightly bitter cocoa notes. No beer sweetness. Quite funny, this...

Perfect 2 finger pour. Black in color. Super strong coffee aroma. Tastes like drinking coffee (black), which I Iike! Very thick and smooth. High alcohol without the bite.

Bottle. Pours hazy very dark brown with stable tan head. Dark aroma of coffee and roasted malt, with hints of liquorice and fruit. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and yeast and touches of liquorice. Roasty and estery aftertaste. Very good.

Love the aroma. Chocolate and coffee dominate. Dark black with a small light brown head. Great taste but just a touch too bitter. I’ll be looking forward to this next fall.

Maybe stouts are not for me, I love the flavors a lot and especially the aroma but I can't drink consistently. It is just way to strong and also a little bit too sweet for me. I guess some people like that though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours jet black with a brown head. Smells of roasted coffee along with oats that carries through into the flavor. Simply excellent.

12 oz bottle served in a tulip glass. Beer is black. Two finger light brown head is pretty slow to dissipate. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is roasty primarily of coffee with lighter notes of chocolate. Taste is medium bitter up front but finishes smooth with a hint of sweetness. Notes of coffee and chocolate. Hints of vanilla. Full bodied beer with average carbonation and a smooth finish. Overall this is an awesome hearty stout. Nice complexity but well balanced nothing overdone.
