COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

12oz bottle from Southern Season. Pours thick opaque dark brown with a creamy mocha head. Aroma is fresh ground coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is big super dark chocolate melded with thick bitter espresso. Incredibly rich and creamy mouthfeel. The abv is completely hidden by the heavy body. This could legitimately work for dessert or brunch. Gotta kind KBS, might be the only thing better.

Very drinkable imperial stout. KBS is much better imo, but I am fine with Breakfast Stout. Coffee and oatmeal. Yummy.

Bottle. A shocked I had not rated this. Dark pour with a brown head. Aroma of coffee, oatmeal, roastedmalt, earth, caramel and nuts. Smooth and drinkable. Choxcolayte covered coffee beans. Meatiness and oatiness at times. Earthy and charred bitterness. Very good

From bottle. Poured opaque brown black with medium tan head. Aroma of berries, cocoa, and booze. Drank with a dominant flavour of blackcurrant, bit of cocoa, and warm gentle numbing booze in the back. The fruit ruined it for me; maybe the bottle had gone a bit bad.

Rating #1900. Bottle from Beer Cartel, Sydney. Poured an impenetrable black with a slowly fading though not entirely dissipating creamy tan head leaving a scattered lace. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, roasted malt, prune and raisin. Full-bodied with many of the aromas being echoed in the palate. Kept fresh by a lively carbonation. A little warmth on the back end with bourbon characters almost as though it’s been barrel aged. Finishes smooth and long with high intensity throughout.

Bottle. Dark brown with a small brown head. Aroma of chocolate and malt. Flavor is sweet, but balanced with high alcohol and mid-low bitterness. The mouthfeel is extravagant. I actually prefer this to the KBS. I feel like it’s a bit cleaner.

12 oz bottle. It pours an almost black color with a tan head and little lacing. The aroma is coffee and chocolate. The taste is coffee, chocolate, vanilla, sugary milk, and some alcohol. It’s balanced well. It’s pretty smooth with a bit of carbonation.

Bags of coffee, bags of chocolate, bags of roasted malty goodness. Awesome coffee stout.

Don't have to say much about this you already now. Cleary the best stout I have tasted and will struggle to find better. I'm still looking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
