COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with little head but a lot of lacing. Smells mainly of coffee and sweet chocolate. Tastes sweet then a bitter coffee follows. Good beer but not a huge coffee fan so i can’t truly appreciate this beer.

Bottle from drinkstore. Pours oily black with tan head which disappears. Coffee bean, leather, liquorice, lactose, light musty tobacco. Flavour is sweet milk chocolate (35% cocoa), coffee, lactose, tobacco. Full body flavour with dry finish. Creamy smooth mouthfeel but light. Very nice.

At home in a snifter. Aroma: coffee(duh), chocolate (duh), caramel, bread Appearance: Pours thick, opaque black, and has great head retention that "lasts for days" Taste: Big punch of coffee. Smooth and sweet. Lingering bitterness. Palate: Thick and creamy Overall: A pretty dang good beer, especially for the price.

Appearance is jet black with a minimal tan foam cap that dissipates quickly. Aroma is an intense coffee roast, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and wood with some noticeable alcohol. Taste starts with roasted coffee and gives way to layers of chocolate, dark fruit, and vanilla with a sharp hop bitterness. Slight astringency. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a low carbonation. Mild alcohol warmth present. Finishes with some spice and slick feel in the tongue

Magnificent thick and creamy coffee and chocolate laced full bodied stout. No alcohol on nose or tongue but a very rich, warming flavor. Make sure it is not too cold for full aroma.

Tap at the Rookery. Pours dark brown with frothy brown head. Aroma of roasted coffee, malt, and chocolate. Tastes of dark coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt. Heavy bodied. Wish I could start everyday with this beer. Delicious

Bottle (with breakfast, of course!). Dark body, medium beige head. Aroma has coffee and sweet chocolate. Sweet roasty taste with chocolate, coffee and hints of cola. Sweet coffee finish, not too hoppy. Not very complex. Bold but not overblown in the ABV department, which is good.

A go to for anyone who likes coffee and beer. A nice black pour into a sniffter glass. Nice chocolate flavor with a bitter coffee finish. A hint of sour in the mix. An excellent beer I buy any time I can get my hands on it.
