Draft Half Pint. Pours Jet Black with dark brown head. Light lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate and coffee. One would expect the coffee and chocolate taste but this beer is wonderfully hop balanced. Alcohol is hidden well. Truly an amazing Imperial Stout!

A heavy dark pour with minimal head. Aroma coffee, oatmeal and a spicy hoppiness. Taste is delicious, reflects the aroma with added chocolate and dark dried fruits. Mouthfeel is silky with a touch of effervescence. Hops give the after taste great carry. Great beer.

Poured at cellar temp (56F) from bottle. Pours a dark black color with two finger tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate, and a hint of oat. The coffee part of the aroma is earthy and a little dusty. Taste is like a black morning coffee with creamy chocolate. Mouthfeel is very round. This is deliciously creamy and you might even think of a milk stout with this creaminess. The oats do a great job making that creamy texture. Great on a cold evening.

12 oz. bottle poured into shaker. Pours black with a gorgeous two-finger tan head. Deep roasty malt, coffee and chocolate aroma. Sublime lightly sweet coffee flavor that still manages to have a hop presence in the finish. Mouthfeel is as thick and chewy as it looks. Iíd heard about this stuff for a while and am very happy itís finally available in my area.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. 60-65 degrees. Tulip glass. Coffee is front and center as advertised. Dusty, earthy, roasty, sweet black coffee aroma. Dark chocolate mixes on the palate, with more black coffee. Mildly bitter. Soft, low carb. Medium-plus body. A touch of sweetness, which is perfect for the style. Pleasant, long, lingering finish of coffee and dark chocolate. A benchmark coffee stout. If you substituted my Pete's ice coffee with this, it may take me a moment to figure it out.. Only the light carbonation would give it away. Good stuff.

One of my absolute favorite stouts. Coffee flavors are right up front with this one and it ends with a great mouth feel and roastiness.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Coffee and chocolate nose. Deep black color with tan head. Too much hop bitterness gets in the way of nice coffee and chocolate flavor. Thick body and carbonated perfectly at loss levels. Finishes dry. A bit disappointed. Otherwise great but bitterness was annoying.

355ml bottle from Drinkstore. Pours almost black, big tan coloured heading, fine, foamy and frothy, lasting. Nice lacing. Huge coffee nose, some light sweetness from the oats, dark chocolate and roast malts. Big coffee flavours, some coffee bitterness in the middle, lifted bycoffee the oatmeal sweetness, more dark chocolate towards the finish. Big lush mouthfeel, loads of body, chewy almost, finish is long, more coffee notes. Lovely.
