COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Nice and smooth. Good chocolate taste. No aroma. Overall, a decent effort. Chocolate/coffee mix is good.

The taste is intense coffee. I didn’t find much chocolate into this one, it was 1 year old. It wasn’t that sweet, it was more coffee and bitterness. The cinammon taste is very weak, I should retry fresh but I really like it overall ! Not as good as I hoped it to be, but it’s decent for sure.

355ml bottle from Hemelvaart Bier Cafe, Bedale. Pours black in colour with a tan foam head leaving lacing. Nose of roast malt, coffee, smokey. Taste is roasted malty, oatmeal, chocolate, dark fruits, coffee and earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, full to medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roast bitter finish. Well balanced and very drinkable.

Pitch black color with light beige foam. Sweet, coffee and tar in the nose. The taste is smooth with decent coffee notes, chocolate, vanilla and dryish tar with an oily mouth feeling. Chocolaty and dry aftertaste. This beer seems to me to be the most benchmark imperial stout ever.

Bottle at SinH4’s Goodbye Event. Aaah, those sweet roasty malt notes, coffee and chocolate and vanilla. Well balanced and very drinkable for such a heavy beer. Beautiful!

Pours black with a thin tan head. A strong coffee aroma, perfect for a breakfast stout. A very smooth beer with a good coffee taste, some earthy notes and a slight alcohol finish but nothing to what the abv would suggest. A great beer

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 11/22/2014. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger dense dark tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted oats, dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Fantastic aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/chocolate, and earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted oats, dark bread, light smoke/char, herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Good amount of roasted coffee and herbal hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted oats, dark bread, light smoke/char, and herbal/roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, coffee/chocolate, and earthy hop flavors; with a great roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy, and lightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an absolutely incredible imperial coffee stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, coffee/chocolate, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. An insanely enjoyable and delicious offering as usual.
