Disclaimer: Iíve never been much of a coffee fan, and that has some influence on my opinion of this beer.
12oz. bottle poured into pint glass. Black color with basically no head. It looks like oil as its pouring out of the bottle. There is a distinct, aroma of coffee and chocolate. The taste is also very much coffee. The feel is very smooth, almost velvety. This is coffee and beer form, which makes the name incredibly appropriate. Personally, I donít care for it, but I donít care for coffee. For coffee lovers, this is probably a fantastic beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle @ Bierhaus, Galway
Deep black, dirty tanhead, some lacing, good head retention
Aroma - Big espresso coffee, rich sweet dark malts
Taste as aroma, super quality espresso coffee, rich dark malts, massive coffee knocks everything else out so comes across as quite simple, nice though
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, oily. Finish - more coffee, dark malts, smooth, rich, big espresso dak malt linger
Overall - Itís a good beer, but rather simple - a massive whack of coffee (which itself is excellent) and dark malts. Considering the big hype this gets I was rather disappointed.

One of the best stouts for the money if you like the chocolate/coffee/oatmeal combo. Extremely smooth drinking with a great mouth feel. It really is like a meal in a bottle.

From notes, had this with friends over a game of scrabble. This beer is absolutely fantastic young and I put a few away for aging so I am exited to see how they age. Had in a brandy snifter.

Had a fresh ass 2013 12oz bottle. It pours out dark black with a beige head. The smell makes my nose jump for joy. Huge notes of coffee and chocolate. The coffee scent really over powers everything. The taste makes my tongue feel like jump kicking a punk ass. The perfect balance of coffee and chocolate make each sip that much sweeter. And that awesome coffee flavor lasts for a while. As close to perfect as you can get with a stout. I get this beer every year and Iím never let down. In my humble and honest opinion this Breakfast beats the KBS. Beer elites everywhere might fight my ass over that comment. But itís how I roll.
