2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 6/20
Disclaimer: I’ve never been much of a coffee fan, and that has some influence on my opinion of this beer.
12oz. bottle poured into pint glass. Black color with basically no head. It looks like oil as its pouring out of the bottle. There is a distinct, aroma of coffee and chocolate. The taste is also very much coffee. The feel is very smooth, almost velvety. This is coffee and beer form, which makes the name incredibly appropriate. Personally, I don’t care for it, but I don’t care for coffee. For coffee lovers, this is probably a fantastic beer.

Perhaps one of the best stouts around. Actually has an aroma. Full bodied and smooth. Plenty of flavors.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at The Craft Beer Co, Angel Islington on 17-June-2016. Dark brown, almost black in colour with a thick tan coloured head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, sweet malt and pine. Full body and soft/medium carbonation. The flavour is wonderful - lots of sweet cocoa nibs with a nice bitter expresso taste and a spice chilli finish. A Lovely creamy mouthfeel.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle: Black color, tan head. Interesting aroma - raisin, charred wood, coffee. Intense espresso flavor, lingering roasted grain and brown sugar, slightly sour. Very flavorful and tasty.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
A: Looks like obsidian, shiny and smooth and black. Only barely translucent, its so thick. Minimal head, the color of espresso foam.
A: Coffee, coffee, burnt sugar, yeast, burnt toast and more coffee. Enough said.
T: Tastes of bitter chocolate and coffee, sweet bread or grains and burnt smoke. Highly savory and bitter, offset by a creamy, sweet undercurrent that fills the mouth and leaves a lingering, milky sweetness. The smoke flavor is a bit stronger than I’d like it, on an otherwise well-balanced and delicious beer.
P: Silky and thick with tightly structured bubbles.
O: Really big, bold and tasty. Love that the chocolate, coffee and grain flavors are so strong but blended in just the right proportion to create this awesome brew!

Founders Breakfast Stout is my second choice for coffee Stouts behind Rasputen Coffee Stout only because of its a little more bitter than I prefer otherwise it would be perfect!

Very drinkable imperial stout. KBS is much better imo, but I am fine with Breakfast Stout. Coffee and oatmeal. Yummy.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. A shocked I had not rated this. Dark pour with a brown head. Aroma of coffee, oatmeal, roastedmalt, earth, caramel and nuts. Smooth and drinkable. Choxcolayte covered coffee beans. Meatiness and oatiness at times. Earthy and charred bitterness. Very good
