Commercial Description:
You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

12oz. Bottle. Have heard many good things and am pleased to say that it lives up to its billing. Jet black color with a nicely lacing layer of tan froth. Nose is predominantly espresso with some hints of bitter chocolate underneath. Big roasted flavor that is not for the faint of heart. Can’t really taste the oatmeal, but you can feel it in the texture which has a velvety creaminess. Surprisingly this beer is also very bitter and not at all sugary or sweet. Layered beneath the huge coffee grind roast character are traces of dark chocolate, charred caramel and mint. Finishes with a dry, lingering and slightly bitter flourish that makes you crave the next sip. Alcohol is extremely well disguised throughout and is pretty much unnoticeable even as the beer warms up. Love the kid on the bottle, makes me want to try this in my Cheerios tomorrow.

Beer pours dark brown to black with a brown head. There are slight brown highlights at the edges. The first aroma is strong black coffee. As the beer warmed to room temperature, I got more of a chocolate smell but coffee was always the main aroma. The taste is expectedly black coffee, easily the most coffee-filled beer I have ever drank. You never get too much chocolate flavor, but you get bitterness from the chocolate which is nice. The oatmeal comes through in the mouthfeel, making the beer very thick and creamy. Very good beer, one of the best I have ever drank.

Pours out black with smal brown head. Smells sweet and roasty. Taste is more of the same with some bite. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, cereal, cocoa, and hops. Thick and creamy stuff. Balanced and very drinkable.

Incredible aroma! The coffee beans are really prominent. The color is really dark and the taste has the chocolate with a little bit of oatmeal in there as well. Not too overpowering either. Very enjoyable.

Bottle from Archer Liquors. Pours blacky brown with a multi-finger dark tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate and really toasted malt. Full bodied with mild carbonation. Flavor is coffee, smooth burnt malt, and chocolate. Per the label, I think this could be eaten with a spoon. If I had another bottle, I’d have oatmeal for breakfast and pour this over it. Great f***ing beer.
