You’ve got to love coffee to truly appreciate this phenomenal brew. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and sweetened imported chocolates, Sumatra and Kona coffee. We’re actually not sure if this is some type of coffee cake or a beer. Either way you can drink this ale with a fork. Breakfast Stout has an intense fresh roasted coffee nose toped with a cinnamon colored frothy head that seems to never fade and makes you wish breakfast could last forever.

Pours a thick black with a very small dark brown head. Aroma is obvious of coffee with a notes of chocolate and cream. First sip doesn’t surprise because it matches the aroma. It does suprise in the fact that it is so smooth and heavy. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this.

Love the aroma. Chocolate and coffee dominate. Dark black with a small light brown head. Great taste but just a touch too bitter. I’ll be looking forward to this next fall.

Maybe stouts are not for me, I love the flavors a lot and especially the aroma but I can't drink consistently. It is just way to strong and also a little bit too sweet for me. I guess some people like that though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours jet black with a brown head. Smells of roasted coffee along with oats that carries through into the flavor. Simply excellent.

12 oz bottle served in a tulip glass. Beer is black. Two finger light brown head is pretty slow to dissipate. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is roasty primarily of coffee with lighter notes of chocolate. Taste is medium bitter up front but finishes smooth with a hint of sweetness. Notes of coffee and chocolate. Hints of vanilla. Full bodied beer with average carbonation and a smooth finish. Overall this is an awesome hearty stout. Nice complexity but well balanced nothing overdone.

Bottle to tulip, opaque pour with rich and frothy caramel head. Milky chocolate nose, coffee giving it depth and body, simple as that. Flavor is mildly sweet chocolate, smooth and forgiving coffee richness, subtle noble hop, a crisp bitterness from the oats, and a silky mouthfeel with a surprisingly (and very impressively) clean, very faint sweet coffee linger, making its drinkability all the more easy. A very well-made, straightforward, uncomplicated brew that is simply decadent.

On bottle at Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival. First time try of this legendary stout. Pours black with dark khaki head. Aromatic, gunpowder, toasted oatmeal, milanese espresso and a hint of boosieness on the nose. Medium-full bodied palate, balanced, lots of coffee flavours, balanced bitterness and a decent finish. Very nice.

Really nice stout with a lot of coffee and a little chokolate. Medium sweet and more than medium bitter. Good, but not a complex for me.

Poured from bottle into snifter. Pours black with fluffy cinnamon head. Smell is amazing. Coffee coffee coffee. Taste follows. A mocha latte. Thick and creamy on the palate. Amazing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
