COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy headís floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This aleís sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Draft at Founders during RBSG. Pours clear red/orange, thin, non-persistent off-white head. Poor lacing. Nose is citrus hops, soft malt. Bright citrus and firm malt on palate, some real spiciness here as well. Sweet grapefruit finish.

This beer, when poured from the bottle, was a little hazy with a nice amber color and an off white, long lasting and lacing head. The aroma made me smile. It has a pine and resiny hop nose with some malt sweetness in the background. The flavor, like the aroma, was mostly of pine and resiny hops with plenty of bitterness, not quite balanced by the malt sweetness, some smooth alcohol, and a dry finish. This is a very nicely done beer. I think Iíll have another.

Bottle at home, big thanks to Steve in New Jersey! l A clear amber pour with a small off white head. Great piney, citrus hop nose that promised good things. Nice mouthfeel. As anticipated the hoppage was of a high quality with a top notch malt backbone that delivered a cracking balance. Very drinkable stuff. A first rate IPA.

Bottle. Bottled on 6/17/10, reviewed on 7/21/10. Pours a nice orange color with a fluffy 2 finger slightly tan head. The aroma is rind and pine with some other citrus notes. Smooth and balanced are the words that come to mind as I drink this. Not extreme one way of the other. I very nice hop bite and bitterness followed by a silky maltiness. Lingering bitterness afterward. A classis IPA in my book. Dangerously drinkable with a 7.2% abv!

Poured from bottle. Big hop aroma. Typical IPA look. Lots of pine hop flavor, creamy in back. Finished nicely. Another well done IPA.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy bitter grapefruit aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a sweetish malty hoppy bitter finish with hints of grapefruit in the aftertaste.

pours a burnt orange with a small off-white head. Huge aroma of centennial hops. Some caramel malt comes through but itís big on hops. Some grassyness from dryhopping really adds to the abundance of floral, citrus hops. Medium full bodied and sweet with just slight bitterness lingering in the finish. A really nice IPA.

12 oz. bottle pours a clear ruby-amber with tightly packed head that leaves sparse lacing. Aroma is strong of pine right out of the bottle, but eases into florals and popcorn as it airs. Front palate is of sweet hay with spices - nutmeg? middle is doughy with a warm maltiness and a smooth finish of citrus with a hot, hoppy aftertaste. Not too bitter and definitely easy to drink. With a nice smooth finish, this could easily be a nice session if the ABV were lower. Nicely paired with Caribbean beef and chicken kabobs on the grill.

A sweet smelling beer. Sweet malts, caramel, pine by the bucket load, great head, golden appearance. Good lacing and nice medium dry finish. Carbanation is moderate. Peach taste reminiscent of something Iíve had before. Mikkeller maybe. Great beer. Bottle, from Beermerchants.
