3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Founderís Centennial IPA has a very pretty white-yellow head that lowers very slowly and smoothly after beginning with a gently undulating snowy covering. Apple cider hue. Really perfumy and floral aroma. Definitely hop acids. The first sip provided a taste of really balanced hoppy goodness, not too bitter or sweet. Very prickly on my tongue. Nice bitter aftertaste at the back of my throat. I have that same aftertaste that you would if you bit into an unripe orange peel. This is a dangerously good IPA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to kryptic for this bottle. Nice IPA color and head. Very floral nose with citrus, but more floral hops than the typical citrus hops. Taste is flowery with some grapefruit, lemon, and orange. Crisp medium body with bitter, clean finish. Nice beer.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
This one is AMAZING. Pours cloudy amber (itís unfiltered) with a high head that sparkles with citrus hops aroma. First sip explodes with grapefruit and citrus notes with a very subdued, sweet malt backbone. Second sip was more of a gulp, splashes of sweet malt hit you once you get used to the hops. I think i have a new favorite IPA.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2008 Super floral, slightly sweet and citrusy and somewhat dense mouthfeel, brewed in the English tradition of a "thick" malt body. Well made.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a cloudy dark amber with a fluffy white head that leaves nice lacing and never dissipates. The aroma is dominated by the hops, but there is a complexity to it, with floral and grapefruit notes. The flavor is spectacular. The hops are flavorful, but not overly aggressive. The malt has a honey flavor that balances well. The finish is so clean and crisp that it encourages gulping. Fantastic IPA. This is what all of the crap breweries should be striving for.

Bottle. Pours a pale translucent copper with a moderate light tan head, little lacing. Aroma is full floral hops and nectar. Sweet upfront flavor with a full grassy hops body, malts are subdued. Full bodied and smooth with a strong lasting bitter finish.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy, amber orange with a ton of fine sediment and a crazy-huge, pillowy beige head that slowly diminishes leaving sticky lace in its wake. The head generated by this beer is unreal. A half an inch pour results in an inch or more frothy head. Translation: be prepared to wait on this one. The nose is citric and floral hops over a sweet caramel malt backing. Light to medium-bodied with a dry, moderately bitter finish that squeezes the sides of your tongue. The flavor is a blend of citrus and green apple over caramel malt with lesser hop notes of flowers and mild resin. This is a unique and flavorful IPA. If it were available locally, it would probably be part of my regular hop-fix rotation.
