4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A - Pours a slightly hazy copper-orange color with a finger of frothy off-white head. The head fades down slowly leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a nice balance of sweet and slightly bready caramel malts and some citrus hops with some grapefruit.
T - Starts off with some mild sweet caramel malts and some citrus hops. Through the middle, they grow stronger with the addition of some bitterness and some richer bready malts. The finish is a mix of citrus hops and grapefruit with some caramel/bready malts that linger.
M - Medium-plus bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with just a bit of a dry kick to it.
D - Very drinkable. The hop profile is very nice here as it the malt-hop balance. I really like the depth of the malt flavor alongside the hops.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle produced 7/15/11
Appearance is hazy copper with 2 fingers of foam that disapate to a skin. Aroma is rich malty caramel and citrus peel, nuances of bread and resin. Taste is bready and fruity caramel initially and finishes resiny with a hint of grapefruit. Body is full, frothy, avg carbonation, finishes dry with just enought bitterness to bite the tongue and make you reach for another sip. Overall, a very good IPA and certainly a benchmark of the style but particularly exciting.

not my favorite IPA. seemed a little malty, maybe even biscuitty. not what i expect out of an IPA. hops were there, yes....but i could’ve done without the biscuits.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My favorite hop utilized fairly well in this IPA. Pours golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is lemon, orange, sweetness and grass. Taste is citrus and malty sweetness. This is not as good as the "all centennial" two hearted ale by Bells but its still quite tasty.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 14, 2011 Pour is hazy orange with amazing white cappuccino head. Aroma is citrus, hops, and malt. Taste is citrus hops, caramel malt, with solid bitterness and a little of that Trix cereal flavor on the end that Centennial hops are known for. Good beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the Office (a.k.a. Jolly Trolley) in Westfield, NJ. Clean lines. Beer pours light brown with a nice head retention. Aroma is citrusy, taste is crisp and bitter with a nice, creamy body that supports the hop character. Nice beer! Clean IPA finish.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured copper in color, with a small bubbly head. Grassy nose. The taste is grassy up front and finishes citrusy bitter, but still clean. A good IPA.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
0.33l bottle from CrackedKettle. This one pours a cloudy golden orange body with a small sidesticking bubbly head that fills the glass as a thin film. Aroma is really fruity, lots of berries, strawberries, peach, grapefruit, pine, wood and caramel. Really nice. It has average carbonation, a tickling oily mouthfeel and it’s quite full-bodied. Flavors are really piny and bitter. Notes of caramel, grass, peaches and some grape-citrus. Everlasting pine, hoppy bitter and dry both finish and aftertaste. Really bitter without being to bitter. One helluva IPA!
