COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy headís floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This aleís sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2011 Thanks to RBlaszak and djrn for each sending bottles of this beer. I appreciate it guys. The beer pour a hazy orange-amber color with a white head. The aroma is oranges, papayas and pine. Very hoppy smelling. The flavor is a mix of orange and grassy hops with some bready and toffee malt. Low to medium bitterness. All things considered, this is a fairly balanced IPA that has a lot of flavor from the hops and malt. Very drinkable. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle, beermerchants.com. Now this was more like it. Pine fresh, citrus aroma, with some spiciness. Caramel and toffee in good proportion, a lovely rounded beer with a fiine soft finish. Just a very, very good IPA.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with small off-white head. Strong hops aroma, caramel malt, and a little soapy. Flavor is sweet malt, orange peel, grass, with a long bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. While good, I expected a better malt / hops balance from this brewer.

Bottle- Pours a beautiful gold with a white head. Nose is full on floral, citrus, orange rind, really punches you in the face. Taste is extremely well balance between hop citrus and malt sweetness. It is a damn fine IPA. Iím happy there will be some at GB. Wooh.

Citrusy, slightly grassy. Light malt sweetness mid-palate, crisp and bitter finish that isnít overly bitter. Iíd like a fresher bottle, but this one was pretty good as is.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2011 From tap. Light gold with a thin white head and good lacing. Complex aroma with hoppy grass and grapefruit, also some nutty notes with a bit of malt. Some bitterness but not too much, quite drinkable. A very solid IPA.

12 oz bottle. Light copper pour with a thin fizzy off white head. Aroma of grapefruit and vanilla. Great hoppy taste of citrus, mild carbonation, with a sharp, slight peppery finish.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Knee jerk reaction says top 3 IPAís Iíve had, but give me a minute........ Yup, very Two-Hearted, Furious-esque. I really enjoy this beer, and once again, Founders fails to dissappoint.
