COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

12 oz bottle- copper color with minimal head. Fresh floral aroma with some citrus hints. Taste is a good blend of bitter and sweet, typical of a quality IPA. Palate is rough and very satisfying. Crisp aftertaste. Nothing too out of the ordinary but overall a well done IPA.

Bottle - from sampler pack. Orange color - somewhat clear. Fairly hoppy aroma. Really good - very hoppy. Can also taste the maltiness and caramel malt.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2011 On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Pours a dark gold, almost brown. Ample foamy off-white head that refuses to dissipate. Smell overwhelmingly of flowers and pine. The flavor is entirely bitter hops, with very little else. This is a very single-minded IPA. If you like where its going, you will love it.

Pours medium amber with a slight orange bias, white head was small and faded quickly to medium, sticky, super fine-bubbled lacing. Nose is nicely hoppy with floral, pine and citrus notes. Caramel is hinted at subtly. Medium mouthfeel, lively carbonation, hint of sweet but a nice moderate cascade of bitter immidiately follows and lingers on the finish. Really good caramel malt body underlying the powerful hops character, a completely solid IPA.

My first rating on ratebeer. Not a bad beer to start my career with. Bottle from beermerchants.com. Pours a hazy reddish-orange, with a small, almost white head. Caramel quite prevalent in the aroma with some citrus. Very well balanced beer with the malt and hops holding hands rather than fighting it out. Creamy and soft with a nice tingle on the sides of the tongue. A decent amount of bitterness in the finish. Overall, this is a very, very nice beer.

Pours amber with white head. Aroma is citrus, florals and a hint of caramel. Taste is bittersweet with the caramel adding sweetness on the finish. Hides the alcohol well.

Poured from bottle. Appearance is that of a typical IPA. Nice hop aroma. Overall an enjoyable IPA.

Draft at Founders during RBSG. Pours clear red/orange, thin, non-persistent off-white head. Poor lacing. Nose is citrus hops, soft malt. Bright citrus and firm malt on palate, some real spiciness here as well. Sweet grapefruit finish.
