COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy headís floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This aleís sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

The dry hopping contributes largely to the aroma and the flavor. As explained in the description, it really is never too bitter, which is impressive and really makes it an excellent IPA overall. The color is a beautiful reddish brown ale. Founders NEVER disappoints.

Nice fruity aroma, reminds me of strawberries with hops. it tastes like it smells, strawberries and hops. Nice golden amber colour. i like this one, a litle different, and a well brewed beer.

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2010 Bottled ay Monkís Cafť Wallingatan, Stockholm. Hazy amber, brief head. Peachy soapy hop aroma,. Sweet and compact with clean mouthfeel. The peachy, soapy hops together with overt sweetness and clean, somewhat syrupy malt forms an immense bitterness that gets slight inky edges. While it contains loads of pleasnt flavours itís too sweet and unbalanced to live up to my high expectations on this brewer.

12oz. bottle served in a shaker pint. Poured a slightly hazy gold with about a finger of fine bubbled white head. Nice citrusy hop aroma with some bready malt. The hops jump right out at you, but they are backed up with a solid malt base. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Long drying finish from the hops. Pretty drinkable for such a hoppy beer. I can see this one becoming a regular in my rotation.

Draft at Tylers. Orange hue with small white head. Nose is big citrus and floral hops mostly. Flavor is balanced with sweet malts and slightly bitter hops, finishes with a tinge of fruity sweetness. A solid IPA with good hop/malt balance and easily drinkable!

A darker brown/amber than the typical ipa. Lots of citrus and perfume on the nose. A fuller mouth feel than many examples. The malts give a sweetness that keeps the hops in check. Not a monster, a sturdy, smart example. very nice

12oz., bottled on 7/27/09. Pours a mostly clear orange golden with a good sized off-white head that lasts. Aroma is floral, citrus, light pine and some grass. Flavor is a nice bitter hops bite, with grapefruit, citrus, floral and slight pine. A tasty and easy drinking IPA.

97? Wow, thatís higher than I wouldíve guessed. Not that this is a bad ipa but Iíve certainly had better. Just bitter. Didnít find much flower or fruity flavors.

Bottled at Monks Cafť, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear amnber colour with creamy lasting white foam. Rich, sparkling resinous aroma of peaches, lychee, apricots, flowers and elder. Medium-bodied with fresh hoppy notes of grapefruit, resin, peaches, herbal grass and mild lemon. Rounded and rather chewy body. Long bitter finish of wet grass, grapefruit and resin. Damn tasty IPA with a wonderful mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2010 Pale amber color light white head light lacing a light sweet malt flavor then a nice grapefruit citrus taste ... not much in the aroma department ... nice dry spicy finish sessionable ... a little more sweet and malty than most hoppy bitter ipaís but the flavors balance well and its delicious a very good ipa
