COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy headís floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This aleís sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Was a little uncertain about this beer the first time around, but, after drinking some of my favorite IPAís and returning to this one, I realize how much I liked this beer. Good fruity, grassy nose, with a smooth bitterness. Great beer!!

First time drinking a Founders! I had never been able to find it, but during a trip to New Jersey it appeared at a local Bottle King. Pours a golden/copper slightly hazy color with a healthy head that stick around. Lacing is very nice. Aroma is hoppy/malty. Flavor has light carmel and citrus tones. A very solid brew!

I have had a couple beers from Founders, and it seems to be a pretty solid company. This one claims 65 IBUís and I can believe it. It has good hop flavor, but it also hits you with a ton of bitterness. The nose is grapefruit/citrus. You know what you are getting into when you sniff this one. There is a good dose of malt that balances out, a very solid brew

Pours a light amber with a thick white head. Pine and citrus hops on the nose with sliight hints of spice. Flavor of piney hops and orange peel with a nice roasted malt balance. Lingering piney aftertaste that makes you want more; very drinkable. An excellent American IPA.

Represents Grand Rapids well. Appearance in glass is light-med amber. Combine the heavy hoppy aroma with the bitter sweet flavor and its a great experience.

[ Trade by VikingHammer ]. Clear medium orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy hoppy, orange fresh hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090218]

Pours light amber gold with a medium head. Aroma is pine and citrus hop, over a medium sweet caramel maltiness. Flavour is very smooth. Good piney bitterness, medium malt body with the alc perfectly balanced. Citrus-pine hop finish faded pleasantly.

Bottle - Medium amber 2 finger frothy tan head. Nose of sweet hops. Taste - Wow, thoroughly impressed with this one. Possibly the smoothest IPA Iíve ever had. Aftertaste lingers with a strong taste of pine and hops. This is an A+ IPA. Absolutely the only issue I have with this beer is the twist off cap.

On tap. Pours a dark golden (but clear) color with a medium-small head. Aroma is sweet malts, with a nice dose of hops. Flavor is a mild, well balanced beverage - carefully interweaving a fully bodied hop character with a nice, sweet malt body. Not overtly hoppy. Contains a decent, and fine finish that isnít too bitter, not not too mild as well.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2009 TAP: semi-cloudy orange/amber pour, huge pine hop nose. Taste is semi-creamy, pine hop, balanced by some hop-kick at the back end.
