Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Almost clear, light orange-brown with a glow. APA aroma from casting central. Good balance - a little briney, citrus, hoppy. Recommended. Flying Saucer, KC, tap.

A great IPA which really allows for the hops to shine. Centennial is a great choice for such an endeavor and Founders pulls it off nicely. Aroma is of citrus and grapefruit. Bitterness is not overwhelming but present as it should be. Nice.

Beautiful copper pour with a perfect half inch hed. Floral hop aroma with light grapefruit and citrus. Malty and bitter up front leading to a floral hop finish. Lingering malt sweetness and a long, bitter finish. Crisp, refreshing and very well put together. It is really a great representation of the style.

vibrant, dry and pungent hop nose - sticky pine, light tough of sweet vanilla and toffee. crisp and dry texture, exceptionally good attenuation. lightly cloudy light bronze body, well-formed white head. bit more toffee and caramel in the flavor that I prefer; a little too sweet up front with caramel and munich malt but it dries and becomes substantially bitter across the back. first reviewed in 2005 (3.9), re-rated in 2010 (3.7).

Bottle. Poured a hazy copper orange color with an average-sized off-white head. Aroma is really pleasant mix of citrus and floral hops, caramel malt. Taste is similarly citrus and sweet, with a nice hop bite in the finish. Body is medium and the carbonation is appropriate. Overall, a very enjoyable IPA.

12oz from Julio’s 1 week after buying it Bottle date 01/04/10
Appearance : Deep amber small head. Extensive lacing
Aroma : Lots of malt. Lots of resinous hops. Quite floral.
Taste : Resinous and floral hops. Lots of malt. Finish bitter and malty. Some fruits. Finish slightly alcoholic. Hints of cooked veggies.
Overall : Nice stuff. Fairly straight forward. It sees centennial is not my favourite hops however.

12oz bottle to snifter. Had a aroma of strong citrus honey and sweet flowers. The apperance was a copper orange with a thin white head. It had a mild grapefruit, honey and citrus flavor. The palate was a medium body with a chalky finish that was somewhat sticky. Overall it is very drinkable great IPA for the price.

Sleightly hazy brown with a medium bubbling light brown head. Strong aroma of grape with a mild mandarine background. Broad plesant bitterness that dries out in the finish with a subtle sweetness to back it up. Very clean and nice ipa.

Traded 12oz bottle. Pours a light bronze colour with a small off-white head and nice lacing. The aroma is sweet grapefruit hops and pineapple. Very nice citrus/orange flavour without overpowering bitterness. Dry finish that lasts a fair amount of time and has a little alcohol in it.
