COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with small off-white head. Strong hops aroma, caramel malt, and a little soapy. Flavor is sweet malt, orange peel, grass, with a long bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. While good, I expected a better malt / hops balance from this brewer.

Bottle- Pours a beautiful gold with a white head. Nose is full on floral, citrus, orange rind, really punches you in the face. Taste is extremely well balance between hop citrus and malt sweetness. It is a damn fine IPA. I’m happy there will be some at GB. Wooh.

Citrusy, slightly grassy. Light malt sweetness mid-palate, crisp and bitter finish that isn’t overly bitter. I’d like a fresher bottle, but this one was pretty good as is.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2011 From tap. Light gold with a thin white head and good lacing. Complex aroma with hoppy grass and grapefruit, also some nutty notes with a bit of malt. Some bitterness but not too much, quite drinkable. A very solid IPA.

12 oz bottle. Light copper pour with a thin fizzy off white head. Aroma of grapefruit and vanilla. Great hoppy taste of citrus, mild carbonation, with a sharp, slight peppery finish.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Knee jerk reaction says top 3 IPA’s I’ve had, but give me a minute........ Yup, very Two-Hearted, Furious-esque. I really enjoy this beer, and once again, Founders fails to dissappoint.

Bottle at LIC Craft Beer Festival. Clear yellow pour with nice frothy white head. Citrus, pine, and caramel in the nose. The flavor starts with cascade hops, then caramel, then a strong pine bite. Soft body yet crisp mouthfeel with a caramel-pine finish. Well made IPA.

12oz btl. A reddish amber pour with a white head. Has a nice hoppy aroma with some fruit notes. Overtly hoppy but nice malt suddleness. Pleasant lasting flavor.

Drank from the tap at the NYC Craft beer festival. Pours a very light amber-yellow. Incredibly diverse floral and citrus aroma; you can almost taste the flavors as you breath them in. Taste is grapefruit, citrus hops, lemon, some caramel and a nice bitter finish.
