Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy orange, light brown with a little white head. Nose is floral, fruity, piny. Medium body, soft in the mouth but a nice amount of carbonation gives it some aggressiveness. Full taste, floral, piny, grapefruit, citrus. Finish bitter and a little spicy. Nice balance, but definitely towards the hop side. Solid IPA.

12oz bottle 11/15/10 (Meijer)-46° in Shaker-Pours an orangish amber with a small off white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and malt. Taste of the same. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and it finishes with a nice bitterness. Nice IPA.

Bottle. Clear light copper pour. The aroma hops are quite fruity, strawberries and pineapple. A bit of caramel smell too. Taste is sweet, bitter finish - not very bitter though. Pretty good.

Botle pours light amber with frothy off-white head. Aroma of flowery hops and citrus. Predominant flavors of pine, grapefruit, oranges, tangerines, and pineapples with a long-lasting bitter finish. An excellent IPA.

Bottle from Beermerchants.com. Amber pour with a beige head. Tangerine, grapefruit and pine aromas. Nice hoppy nose. Smooth citrus burst in the flavour with a hint of caramel. Good, bitter edge. Fruity, sharp hoppy finish.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2011 Thanks to RBlaszak and djrn for each sending bottles of this beer. I appreciate it guys. The beer pour a hazy orange-amber color with a white head. The aroma is oranges, papayas and pine. Very hoppy smelling. The flavor is a mix of orange and grassy hops with some bready and toffee malt. Low to medium bitterness. All things considered, this is a fairly balanced IPA that has a lot of flavor from the hops and malt. Very drinkable. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle, beermerchants.com. Now this was more like it. Pine fresh, citrus aroma, with some spiciness. Caramel and toffee in good proportion, a lovely rounded beer with a fiine soft finish. Just a very, very good IPA.
