COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Bottle from Vintage Cellar. The aroma shows pine, caramel, grapefruit and herbs. Smells like a good solid IPA. This pours a copper color with a good thick off-white head. Nice lacing. Tasty beer. Soft sweet caramel and doughy malty body underneath the sharp bitter hops. A bit grainy overall. Pine leads the way with lingering resinous hops along with citrusy flavors. Very balanced and drinkable. The word "solid" keeps coming to mind.

Bottle. Pours amber with thick, off-white head. Nose has light pine, lemon and orange zest notes and doughy yeast. Flavor has quite some depth - hop resins contribute earthiness- lightly bitter orange peel flavors, good grainy background flavors, mildly toasted bread, finishes with just an edge of earthy, piney hop resins.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2013 One of my top 5 favorite IPAs. Bottle poured into a 3 oz sampler glass. Nice appearance. Smooth, nicely done IPA. You don’t get the sometimes bad bitterness like some low quality IPAs.

Good looking honey brown color, smallish head but nice lacing. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet caramel malt flavor, some teabag and a floral hop finish. I love all the flavors. My only criticism is that it’s a little too sweet. Not overly sessionable, but tasty nonetheless.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized off-white to beige creamy head that leaves quite a bunch of lace. Aroma is fruits, some floral hops as well as some bready and wooden notes. Flavour is fruity an floral hpos along with some bready and mildly yeasty notes. Quite smooth sweet maltyness as well. Wellbalanced and rather nice IPA.

Very nicely balanced, hoppy and floral aroma and flavor with hints of citrus and a touch of sweetness. This is one I would definitely have again.

A vigorous pour into my favorite snifter leaves a a cloudy gold/orange color with a thick, cloud-like head. The aroma is mildly sweet and floral. There are both floral and citrus notes in the flavor, and although it is fairly well-balanced, the hop bitterness lingers in the aftertaste. The mouthfeel is bright and refreshing despite the big, bitter flavor. Overall, a solid IPA.

Pours a slightly cloudy orange Into a Duvel Tulip. There was an inch foamy head, that slowly made it’s way down to about a quarter inch head that stayed all the way down. There were ring’s of lacing that followed the head as I sipped. The scent was perfect for an IPA, very hoppy and spicy with some piney notes. A slightly sweet citrusy taste up front is balanced off nicely by a very nice bitter finish. There is about as good of a balance as one would want with an IPA. This is nice IPA, I only wish I bought more than 1 in a mix pack. I should have known it would be great coming from Founders.
