Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Aroma: Floral, cut grass, citrus/grapefruit rind. Palate: Smooth Flavor: Starts with Malty orange and bitter grapefruit rind and finishes with the same plus some grassy hop flavors. Comments: Good balance of med-full bodied malt and bitter hops in the flavors. The initially smooth mouth feel holds through the mid-palate and then it finishes dry. Nearly an Imperial IPA but more restrained and the better for it. 38-39 score range. Perhaps the flavor is an 8.

This beer is delicious. It has a great initial taste and the aftertaste is also very good. I have tried other beers from this brewery and they seem to have really high quality!

355ml bottle. Pours a deep amber with a mild haze and effervescence. A big & bubbly beige head sits atop that takes a while to reduce and never fully dissipates, the remnants leaving a scattered lacing. Lots of those juicy centennials - grapefruit, pine and tangerine all over. The grapefruit and pine come through well on the palate with a peachy/strawberry sweetness. A nice malty nuttiness underpins all the hops. Moderately crisp, medium body & carbonation and a balanced, playful, rounded finish - not too much of any one quality

Bottle: Light beige slow disappearing head. Smell lots of citrus, light hints of hops, spices, malts and fruits. Color is clear orange amber. Taste is very light but still full of taste. Hoppy citrus, long fruity taste changes slightly into more bitter and still pretty fruity aftertaste, Very well balanced and bit dry towards the end.

Has an aroma of fresh biscuit with sweet cotton candy hops. Appearance is average but the head dissipates very fast. Think mouthfeel with lots of hops in the mouth. Taste is ok but nothing special. Nice hop bitterness but the taste is too sweet for my taste.

12 oz bottle- copper color with minimal head. Fresh floral aroma with some citrus hints. Taste is a good blend of bitter and sweet, typical of a quality IPA. Palate is rough and very satisfying. Crisp aftertaste. Nothing too out of the ordinary but overall a well done IPA.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2011 On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Pours a dark gold, almost brown. Ample foamy off-white head that refuses to dissipate. Smell overwhelmingly of flowers and pine. The flavor is entirely bitter hops, with very little else. This is a very single-minded IPA. If you like where its going, you will love it.
