3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dark yellow color, settling a light amber color with a large, frothy off-white head with superb staying power. Good lacing. Wonderfully heavy citrus hops hit the nose long before it reaches the rim of the glass, and there is just a general indistinguishable sweetness. Initial taste is sweet, giving a malty taste, and then rapidly turns to a moderate to harsh bitter with lively carbonation. Light to medium on the mouth, it has a dry texture. Wonderfully balanced beer despite the heavy bitter finish, due to the malty beginning and long duration with a smooth finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle. Pink orange with a plume of fine sediment that settles like a tornado. White head leaves a big lace ring. Grass, dough and orange hops. Decent body and light quinine carb. Dry and bready grapefruit peel; lemon oil creeps in.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is very much a classic IPA. Lots and lots of tart hops, pine, and grapefruit are standards of the style. Some honey and malt can be found underneath to give a hint of sweetness. Definitely not my favorite style but this one is as good a representative of the IPAs as can be found.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Amber color with partials floating around. Smell of hops, flowers, grapefruit, malt and hints of pine. Taste of malt(and a lot of it), some hops, citrus, honey and some rye. Even a little chocolate in the back. Dry bitterness at the end. Its good, but not great.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Founders Centennial IPA
12 oz bottle
Recent brewing, hopped into 01/07
Medium pour in a tulip glass
Poured a hazy orange amber with an average somewhat diminishing white head leaving a tiny ring of lacing. Lotsa bonus thick floaties.
Smelt of strong bittersweet lemon and ruby red grapefruit, with moderate sweet pineapple, barley sugar.
Taste was upfront strong bitter crisp green grass and fresh vegetation and biting barley with moderate citrus sweetness followed a strong bitter spruce and mushroom yeast with moderate sweetness on a long green finish. Palate was medium bodied, oily, fizzy, light alcoholic warmth and strongly astringent, (in no way a flaw in this case).
Overall, this is one of the most vegetal tasting IPA. Reminds me of fresh garden veggies. Also reminds me of the first time I tried to eat whole hops. Brilliant.

Pours a light copper with a small tight head. Aroma of oranges and pine. A little soapy, but otherwise a great taste to this with hops and sweet citrus.

Bottle. Aroma nice hoppy flow from my glass. Pours a nice amber. Flavor was a nice balance of malts and hops, primarily a piney sweetness. Palate was nice fullness and good finish. Overall this was a niceín.
