Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

AROMA - has a roasty malt; Citrus, Hops; Yeast is a dough smell. APPEARANCE - Color amber; clear liquid; minimal head TASTE - Bitter, medium towards a heavy PALATE - Body is a medium, Texture is thin; Carbonation is fizzy (but not over done); Finish is bitter and astringent Overall - Not the biggest fans of IPA’s because of their bitterness. However, I just began beer tasting seriously a month ago or so. This is a great IPA for those who do not enjoy the bitterness of IPA’s.

Tap sample at New Beer Dist. An extremely well rounded IPA. Eminently drinkable. Pours a deep amber with a strong citrus and floral hop aroma. Flavor is quite sweet and citrusy, with some bitterness coming in during the latter stages. Finish is smooth with subtle bite, and just a bit sticky. Great beer overall.

Pours a dense caramel color with a frothy white head. Aroma is sweeter than most IPA’s-citrus and caramel. Lots of grapefruit and caramel malts in the undertone making the taste sweeter with muted hop bitterness. A nice beer, but I think I prefer my IPA’s a bit more hopped.

Bought in a mixer-sixer at Jungle Jim’s. First cut with this beer. Amber color, subtle floral/citrus aroma, nice balance of bitter and citurs flavor. A bit of caramel sweet and some pine. This is a nice IPA.

Oh yeah, This is what an IPA ought to be. Great crisp hoppy nose, not necessaruly overwhelming citrus hops, hust crisp and clean and I definitely detect the malt. The taste is very smooth, and crisp. A deep orange amber color with a small layer of froth on top. Great body, Not lite but definitely not heavy or too rich. Nice work Founders.

Orange-copper pour with a small, lasting, loose off-white head. Nice wet, fruity citrus hop aroma with some moderate caramel and honey sweetness and some dry floral pine. The flavor follows through from the aroma and is very nicely balanced. No overly aggressive catty hop profile or cloying sweetness just a nicely well rounded and balanced IPA. There is a long dry, lingering piny bitterness on the finish. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a slightly aqueous finish.
