Good sized frothy head of pretty big bubbles. Reduces to a sticky mess of lacing and rocky foam. Nice hoppy aroma with plenty of citrus and pine. Nice malty aroma hiding behind it. Color is a bright orange. Flavor is a little weak in the hops department. Well balaced with a little orange in there. Hops show up at the finish and leave behind a long and bitter finish. Quite good. A decent IPA.

Wow! This one is awesome. Iím not a fan of an IPA that will use hops as a bludgeon and Iím happy to say that this isnít one of those! Just enough aromatic and bittering hops that you know its an IPA and not a bit more. Good malt balance that accounts for a good mouthfeel. Mine poured a dark orange with good head and lacing. The head lasted throughout. I held this baby up to the light and saw many bubbles rising as well as a fair amount of suspended bubbles. Is this common for beers? I donít know, but Iíll be checking all beers in the future.

A floral with citrus overtone aroma. A golden cloudy appearance with a light brown creamy head that is long lasting and well laced. A short sweet flavor initially with overtones of oarnge and finishing with a nice hop bitterness.

12oz - Floral hop aroma with a hint of carmel and lemon. Pours a cloudy orange with a decent creamy head and some lacing. Flavor is also floral hops with a touch of citrus. This time the malt is much stronger and balances the brew out nicely. Smooth palate. A nice session IPA.

Great, sweet, fruity, hoppy nose. Cloudy, burnt-orange body and a small whitish head. Decently full-bodied, hoppy flavor. Slightly sweet, grapefruit and citrus. Dryish brew, a little thin and sour in the finish.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy strawberry blonde color, with a frothy head and sticky white lace - quite sweet aroma, cut with citric bitterness, giving it a grapefruit with sugar on it kind of smell - medium body, wonderful balance of fruit, caramel and hop bitterness, some flowers - most IPAs can only hope to acheive this balance.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a transparent copper with a frothy and well-lacing off-white head. Sugary caramel candy aroma has a nice hoppy grapefruit presence. Body starts full with a nice maltyiness and good flavoring and bittering hops. Finishes crisp, clean, yet full, but very drinkable. An enjoyable and refreshing IPA, but the hops could be a little more assertive.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with jtw, thanks John!) I should have had Centennial IPA as my 100th IPA on Ratebeer! Oh well, too late now. Balancing the milder east coast IPAs with the more bitter and hoppy west coast IPAs, this seems like a nice melding of the two. Flavorful and well balanced, this is a moderately malty, but sufficiently hoppy brew to, at least to some degree, appeal to both camps. Bitterness is never too strong or dominating, but you can definitely taste the hops, especially in the finish. The nose is unmistakeably hoppy, lightly fruity and sweet, but also a bit musty unfortunately. Medium bodied, somewhat clean and crisp on the palate, but with enough malty sweetness to ensure a smooth, balanced mouthfeel. Bright amber color, made somewhat cloudy by the suspension of fine, flaky particles in the beer. Average-sized off-white head gradually fades to a wide brim, but leaving wide rings of ornate lacing on the glass. A solid IPA that neither blows me away, nor offends me in any way.

A great summer beer. Smells like the grass you just cut and the grapefruit in the salad you had for lunch. Dry hops, just the right bitterness, and some great looking lacing and carbonation. A most excellent pale ale.

Bottled. #2 of 31 American Beers during American Beer Month! Mmm... rating this one "live." Opens with a big smell for grapefruit, cut grass and pine tar. Pours a deep, relaxed brown color with a bit of unfiltered haze. Taste is just full of hop smackiness. Has a nice biscuity/toasty malt profile that puts me in mind of honey on toast. Nothing mild about this one, it demands you pay it your full attention!
