Bottle from the Wine Merchant in Findlay, OH. Pours caramel brown with an off-white head. Lots of particulates here. Nose is caramel malt, grapefruit, and some floral hops. Flavor is caramel, grapefruit, some honey, and an enjoyable hop bite upon the finish. Nice hot day beer with balanced bitterness.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Amber pour with a very creamy off-white head. Strong hoppy aroma with lots of character. Citrusy, grapefruit, very floral, and a decent amount of malts. You can tell this one is dry hopped because of the crisp hop taste and finish. Very nice!

I guess I should rate this. Hard to believe uit hasnt been done until now. On tap at the brewpub 7/18/09. Pours a nice amber with a medium light tan head. Big notes of grapefruit and pine in the nose and flavor. Very crisp finish. Still a very good IPA.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2010 Slightly hazed orange color topped by a creamy white head. Great retention throughout as it eventually leaves large chunks of lacing. Aromas of fresh pine and an abundance of citrusy floral hops with some backing malt notes gives a great indicator of what’s to come. Starts with a strong dash of grapefruit and biscuity malts which are surpassed by a huge dry hop finish. Earthy grass notes as well. Yet so pronounced in hop character this beer is soo drinkable. I can never stop at one or two…

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Great aroma of very strong Cascade hops. Flavor is especially bitter and very alcoholic. It seems a lot heavier in hops and alcohol than other IPAs. As expected, some hints of citrus grapefruit and floral scent. Very good bitter taste, but also very strong tasting.

A beautiful label gracing a very beautiful beer. Pours a hazy golden with a good head and sheets of lace. The aroma has a great mango and citrus hop thing going, then there is this gummy worm character to the aroma, I kind of like it. Flavor is of course nicely hoppy with some mango and grassy hop flavor, and plenty of bitterness. This is terribly well balanced by a nice malt backbone. It’s kind of straightforward in the same way that two hearted is.... and of course that’s not where the comparisons end.

Wow. Bought this on a whim, will never look back. Great smell after opening the bottle, even had to sniff twice it smelled so good; very smooth going down, with a subtle kick, right at the end. Got a buzz on after two! Again, can’t get over the very smooth delivery.
