3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz. bottle served in a shaker pint. Poured a slightly hazy gold with about a finger of fine bubbled white head. Nice citrusy hop aroma with some bready malt. The hops jump right out at you, but they are backed up with a solid malt base. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Long drying finish from the hops. Pretty drinkable for such a hoppy beer. I can see this one becoming a regular in my rotation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Tylers. Orange hue with small white head. Nose is big citrus and floral hops mostly. Flavor is balanced with sweet malts and slightly bitter hops, finishes with a tinge of fruity sweetness. A solid IPA with good hop/malt balance and easily drinkable!

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A darker brown/amber than the typical ipa. Lots of citrus and perfume on the nose. A fuller mouth feel than many examples. The malts give a sweetness that keeps the hops in check. Not a monster, a sturdy, smart example. very nice

12oz., bottled on 7/27/09. Pours a mostly clear orange golden with a good sized off-white head that lasts. Aroma is floral, citrus, light pine and some grass. Flavor is a nice bitter hops bite, with grapefruit, citrus, floral and slight pine. A tasty and easy drinking IPA.

97? Wow, thatís higher than I wouldíve guessed. Not that this is a bad ipa but Iíve certainly had better. Just bitter. Didnít find much flower or fruity flavors.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled at Monks Cafť, Wallingatan, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear amnber colour with creamy lasting white foam. Rich, sparkling resinous aroma of peaches, lychee, apricots, flowers and elder. Medium-bodied with fresh hoppy notes of grapefruit, resin, peaches, herbal grass and mild lemon. Rounded and rather chewy body. Long bitter finish of wet grass, grapefruit and resin. Damn tasty IPA with a wonderful mouthfeel.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2010 Pale amber color light white head light lacing a light sweet malt flavor then a nice grapefruit citrus taste ... not much in the aroma department ... nice dry spicy finish sessionable ... a little more sweet and malty than most hoppy bitter ipaís but the flavors balance well and its delicious

Iím thinking I need to try this one again. All I took down from my last tasting was numbers and "nothing special."

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks coyotehunter! Bottled 5/26/09. Abundantly simple aroma of piney and dry grass. Little caramel. Orange/copper, small gummy white head and full lacing. Powerful, assertive, sustained earthy hops come early and often. Thereís an orange peel dryness and complexity to the malt base, though the hops definitely demand attention here.

Founders has yet to disappoint. Letís see if we can continue that streak!
Pour is a very nice red gold with thick offwhote head and phenominal lacing.
Smell isnít complex so much as not and good citrus and resiny hops.
Taste is similar to smell bit nuanced, it seems as if it changes flavors as the drink progresses. I may actually prefer this to their dipa. Citrus, grapefruit, pine all come together nicely.
Mouth is medium bodied but feels thick for an IPA which is a good thing in my book. Carbonation is where it should be, in the medium high range.
Very drinkable and now that we can get founders, maybe a new go to sessioner!
