Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy headís floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This aleís sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Pours medium copper colour, forming little to no foam. Aroma is of pines, malts, apples(?), and caramel covered resins. Flavor is of sweet pine resin and malts. Extremely smooth beer. Truly does come across with a floral bouquet flavor and quenches a thirst for good IPA. Really good beer! (thanks Matt, see below [DrBayern] for the beer).

12 oz. bottle. Beautiful clear burnt orange pour under a nicely developed medium off white head with good durability and lace. Fresh hoppy aroma of citrus and spruce with support from some fruity sweet malt. Quite smooth for an IPA, without any harshness. Nice medium body and light carbonation. Very well balanced between caramel flavors and bitter citrus zest. Refreshing, nothing is overdone, and a nice example of the American version of the style.

A dark copper with a bit of haze. I can smell a bit more malt in the aroma than I expected, but the hops is there to boot. Flavor boast a strong malt and hops presence with a dry bitter finish. I very nice IPA for those who really enjoy the style and its strong flavors.

Love this IPA, but I truly miss itís earlier incarnation a few years ago when it was truly unfiltered. Todayís Centennial canít really qualify as unfiltered, as it advertises.

Bottle. A friend brought this beer back from a beer festival in Michigan. Poured into a chilled glass and the aroma was right there. This beer tastes big and balanced. Nice sweet malt flavor with plenty of hops to balance well.

12 oz Bottle from Gentiles. Nice golden orange pour; contrary to other reviews, mine is very clear. Smooth 1/2" of head, which soon faded. Wonderful hoppy floral aroma. Great marque for centennial hops. Subtle sweetness. Only criticism is it feels a little thin.

12 oz bottle bought at Capones. Wow what a let down. Poured a good looking orangish/amber with an average size creamy white head and lots of visible particles floating around. Aroma was musty hops that seemed to be fading as if this was an older bottle. Weak initial flavor that finishes with a harsh bitter aftertaste. Very dry palate. Didnít care for this one at all.

Bottle - Pours a golden copper color with small white quickly diminishing head (wish it had a little more). Incredible amounts of particles floating around in it; unfiltered indeed. Smells hops, citrus, fruit, pine, and general sweet foralness. Tastes hoppy and slightly sweet, then to a mild bitterness and back to a hoppy aftertaste. Iím not a big IPA fan at all, but I rather enjoyed this one because of itís great flavor combination and slight sweetness.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of kleyland via The Leylandís. Pours dark orange with a thick foamy head. Wonderful pine hops shine through until the end. Well balanced beer that I could drink all day long.

Clear copper. Nice balanced aroma. Thin texture with a fair amount of bitterness. Somewhat unexciting though.
