Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

12oz. bottle from my 07 Secret Santa. Pours a medium statured offwhite head, retention is good as is the lacing, thin but coating and lasting. Hazy amber, orange hued brew. Nose is light with pine and bready malts, light inkiness. Body is almost medium, lightly oily on the palate. Balanced blend of hops and malts, light piney and citrusy notes, some floral, fruity, with a good balance of caramel malts, sorta toasty, biscuity and tastey. An almost dry finish that leaves me wanting more of a hop bite to end this show. Overall, pretty damn quaffable. Thanks Jeremy!

Went to Founders and it was on tap. Clear appearance, no head very light carbonation. Great tasting light beer and not to strong. Maybe just a little less flavor than the IPA’s I have had recently(some double IPA’s) but smoother and no aftertaste which more than made up for lack of full flavor.

Dark, almost roasted looking orange color, nice white head. Fairly generic IPA nose. Obvious hops but not many complimenting aromas. Some citrus and sweet malt. Crisp and bitter on the tongue. Im a fan of the style but I see this one being too bitter for the average beer drinker. A very good IPA, but I have had better.

12 ounce bottle. Pours orange with sticky white head. Big grapefruit aroma. Balanced flavor. I mean, its certainly hop forward (grapefruit). I guess its balanced like you’d expect a well made IPA. Medium body. High carbonation. Dry bitter finish. To be mentioned with the best.

I really liked this one. Pours an orange reddish color with a big soapy head. Smells fruity and hoppy. Tastes about the same and the finish is surprisingly warming and seems to bloom in the mouth. Very interesting.

Pours a moderately attractive apple-cider color with a finger of off-white head. Aroma of citrus and floral hops, caramel malt, and brewers grain. Hop bitterness is slightly muted by an abundance of caramel malt and more grain. Nice depth of flavor, but I enjoy a more bitter IPA.

Founder’s Centennial IPA has a very pretty white-yellow head that lowers very slowly and smoothly after beginning with a gently undulating snowy covering. Apple cider hue. Really perfumy and floral aroma. Definitely hop acids. The first sip provided a taste of really balanced hoppy goodness, not too bitter or sweet. Very prickly on my tongue. Nice bitter aftertaste at the back of my throat. I have that same aftertaste that you would if you bit into an unripe orange peel. This is a dangerously good IPA.

Thanks to kryptic for this bottle. Nice IPA color and head. Very floral nose with citrus, but more floral hops than the typical citrus hops. Taste is flowery with some grapefruit, lemon, and orange. Crisp medium body with bitter, clean finish. Nice beer.
