Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Bottle drank in line @ DLD. Very floral, strong scent, good lasting head, dark orange, very enjoyable, did not notice the alcohol. Nice finish. Needed more of a kick for me, but overall a very good ipa representation.

Lovin’ the centennial hops in this one. Great floral flavor and a truly remarkable IPA. Definetly one of the top five IPA’s that I ve tasted.

On tap at Dark Lord Day 08. Pours a orange/amber color. Smells like a citrus IPA. Taste is mostly grapefruit with some malt on the finish. Tasty.

A- Pours a hazy, peachy orange with an excellent 2 finger, creamy head which looks amazing. S- Smells very sweet, citrusey fruits, a bit perfumey. T- Taste starts off very biscuity and moves to a orangey, grapefruit hoppiness at the end. Pretty significant bitter finish. M- Medium viscosity, perhaps a tad too much carbonation. D- Very drinkable IPA. Reminds me a lot of Leatherlips IPA. A nice change of pace from west coast ipas.

This tastey hop filled brew pours a slightly orange body with a full white floral head. Fruit, piney and floral on the nose. A full, silky mouthfeel compliments this nicely hopped IPA.

12 oz. bottle. Hops-dominated aroma features mineral water, bitter dirt, and pine scents as well as watermelon from the malts. The smell is pleasant but underwhelming. Pours a hazy, sparkling, effervescent orange brass. Moderate amount of creamy, frothy, cream-colored head. Produces extensive, long-lasting lacing. Hops dominate the dry flavor, but there is also a nice, fruity ale malt character. Pine, lemon, and grapefruit from the hops. Red apple and peach from the malts. Dry aftertaste. Medium body. Crisp and lively in the palate. Refreshing. Founders Centennial IPA is a very satisfying brew to an IPA man like myself. Thanks to tennisjoel for the bottle.

UPDATED: MAR 20, 2010 Short 12oz twist-off bottle. dry hopped & unfiltered (the way they should be!). Aroma of PNW citrus hops. Golden. Big overly excited white fizzy head. Not much malt character. Nice bitterness. Overly carbonated, BLAH.
RE-RATE:: Had this again on tap. Much better. Loads of hops. Nice citrus. Crisp bitterness. Much better.

A very nice IPA from founders. Grapefruit, citrus, some caramel, and hints of tropical fruit. Finishes with floral hops. I wish founders was available in my area.

12 oz bottle thanks to AllAboutStout. Hazy yellow/orange with a decent head. Lots of pine and grassy aromas. Citrus in there too. Similar flavor with more floral than citrus. Very tasty.
