COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

355ml can pours a clear, orangey copper withboff white head. Nose is pine sap and grapefruit with some deep caramel notes. Taste is really good, loads of malt present with solid caramel notes harmonising with juicy orange and grapefruit. Rich sticky mouth feel with medium carbonation and a long bitterish finish.

Centennial hops is the type which is used in this IPA. It is a bitter hops which contributes a good taste of juniper and pine needles and emitting a delicate aroma of flowers and fruit. The Founders Centennial IPA offers a fresh malty flavor of toffee, fine lasting foam. Not exaggerate violently and obviously a wonderful hoppy flavor of the aforementioned flavors. IBU’en 65 is not violently for an IPA, but enough to leave a delicious taste of white bread, caramel and orange peel. A jelly-like sweetness pops bit sporadic in the background and it should be perceived positively compared to my description, because it counteracts the bitter hops bitterness.

Can. Aroma is spruce, floral hops with some malt. Appearance is hazy golden brown with 1 finger width off white head and minimal lacing. Taste is 1st half mildly sweet malts, morphs to mild fruit and then ends bitter. Palate is mild to medium bodied with foamy texture, soft carbonation and long bitter finish. Overall, a fairly complex yet highly drinkable beer.
