4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The eponymously hopped beer from Founders provides a bracing IPA flavor in the American tradition. A (presumably) single-hopped expression of an IPA, Centennial provides a palate orientation to the flavors of the hop. The approach has a cognate in the art of Piet Mondrianís neo-plasticism. Brewing a beer with only one hop seems so simple, and yet it turns out so complex at the same time.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Quite let down by this one. Plenty of bittering hops, but lacks the crisp, vibrant aromatic character I look for in an IPA. It has a solid malt base, which is a bit cloying for my taste. Overall, a mediocre IPA from an otherwise excellent brewery.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Brownyellowish, lightly cloudy. Foam lasts. Malty aroma with a hint of caramel citrus. Taste is malty, caramel, bitter aftertaste, old mandarin. The bitterness magnifies you go along. Medium body medium carbon. Nice Beer

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Like a porter meets IPA. Dark amber colour with slight white head. Flavour is bold and heavy like porter with sweet molasses-like notes, some bitterness and underlying layer of bbq chicken wings (no joke). Medium dry finish. Rich and velvetty.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Plonk. Dark orange/amber, lasting head, fruity/piney hops, quite bitter, not much malt sweetness, dry finish. Nice.

Bottle. Very dry and typical IPA taste. Not really anything special. Beer seem to be too impressed with centennial.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The pour is a deep rubyish gold with a thin white head and amazing lace. The area is very hoppy and citrusy. A light grassy note shines through on the back end. The flavor is grassy up front and fades through the citrusy and hoppy notes. The finish is nice and dry, just leading to the solidness of this beer

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours orange with a great thick head and medium carbonation. Nose is very fruity- Apricots, grapefruit, and prunes mix with a bit of a sharp cheddar note. Flavor is piney- wood and resin, plus a big sinus blast of pine needles as you exhale. Slowly turns into a bit of medicinal/herbal (think lemon/honey Ricola) midpoint, and a strong bitter finish. Avoids the usual IPA blandness by offering a more complete and complex flavor profile.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark caramel with a thin yellow foam. Soft pine needle orange spice taste. Probably the softest IPA I have had.
