I can see why this is the base for judging IPA's, great flavor, the right amount of hops and one of the easiest drinking IPA's going around!

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2014 Perfect looking IPA, with a hazy strong copper colour and a yellowish (almost) creamy head. Strong aroma of lychees, above any other fruits. Lychees also in the flavour, with grapes, evergreens, grapefruit and a grassy hoppiness. Bitter but extremely agreeable. Resinous on the palate, it had an epic finish: a malty sweetness spreading over the tongue, a pulse, steady, bassoon, basset horns, like a rusty squeezebox... and then suddenly, high above it, a stingy bitterness surging from the finish, a single note hanging there, unwavering, still round and comforting, like an oboe...This was no composition by a brewing monkey. It seemed to me I was drinking the beer of God

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
355 ml. bottle poured in to a tulip. Hazy amber colour with a thin, off-white head. Fruity aroma with floral hops, citrus, resin, grapefruits, caramel malts and peaches. Taste is light bitter. Some hops oils. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes bitter and dry with fruits, grape, bread and caramel malts. A bigger IPA on the sweeter side. Nice, trough.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light red/dark caramel color, clear with nice holding off white head and great lacing. piney, hoppy, citrus, herbs and grass is the aroma. Has a decent flavor and beer is well carbonated. Biggest flavors are hops and tropical fruit. This is a beer I will drink again and recommend to any of my friends.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Look: Pours with average size, off-white (light orange hue), medium sized bubbles. Slow retention, leaves a sticky, thick layer. Light but fair, sticky lacing. Colour is clear golden orange with very light haze. Some carbonation visible. Looks like it should.
Smell: It fills the room when you pour it. Pine is the most dominant, citrus (orange), fruits (goes towards tropical, mango?), and floral (roses). Caramel sweetness. Fresh. Sweetness goes with the hop character very smooth and tasty, really builds up, you have to try it.
Taste: Pine, floral goodness. Pine still the most dominant. Light middle caramel backbone connects everything well. Pine with sweetness imitates that bitter forest (chestnuts) honey. Citrus zest (lemon, grapefruit even orange) notes towards the end. Ends with medium hop bitterness, it lightly stays after a sip for a while.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, lively carbonation keeps it alive and fresh, still smooth tho. Dry finish. Easy, it goes down too fast.
Overall: Superb, good focus on the pine character, makes it a mature, well made and balanced representative of the American IPA style. Well worth the time.
