Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Had on draft in a pint glass. Poured a slightly hazy medium copper with a one finger off-white head. Moderate head retention and lacing. Aroma has lots of citrus mixed with some light pine. Quite floral actually. Nice bready malt is detectable as well as some caramel. Flavor is pine/citrus with a healthy dose of caramel and toast. Nearly perfect balance between malt and hops with neither one overpowering the other. Bitterness is moderate and quite smooth never becoming harsh. Very drinkable and truly one of the benchmark IPA’s.

A nice dark and somewhat cloudy appearance. Reasonably creamy head with a persistent lace. Honey and citrus nose, smells very hoppy. Sweet at first and ends with a moderate bitter taste, lingers well. A little dry with decent carbonation, despite the dry still coats the mouth well.

Bottle. Semi-clear dark amber color with a thin white head. Sweet citrus and grassy aroma. Tart citrus flavor is balanced nicely by a heavy malt profile that finishes with a lingering hop bitterness. Well carbonated with a dry texture. Very solid representation of the style.

Det här var kalas ! Mycket humle och balanserad bitterhet. Väldigt balanserad i smaken och kroppen. Lite blommig i aromen kanske, del citrus i smaken. Loved it !

Pour is clear dark copper with a lightish off white head, pretty. Aroma of pine hop, old citrus, grapefruit, bready malt, floral hop. Flavor is sweet & sticky hop up front, ends with some bitter grapefruit. Very nice balance, smooth operator.

Tuoksussa sitrusta, maku hieman katkera vahvasti humaloitu. Maussa tuli mieleen pieni stoutmaisuus, hennosti täyteläinen.

Copper/amber beer with a beige head. Fruity, sweet and earthy aroma. Quite a lot of caramel in the taste. Pine needles and grape fruit as hops but the bitterness isn’t overpowering. More on the sweet than dry side but very nicely balanced. Nice palate and mouth feel. Medium body. I really like this.
