COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Had on draft in a pint glass. Poured a slightly hazy medium copper with a one finger off-white head. Moderate head retention and lacing. Aroma has lots of citrus mixed with some light pine. Quite floral actually. Nice bready malt is detectable as well as some caramel. Flavor is pine/citrus with a healthy dose of caramel and toast. Nearly perfect balance between malt and hops with neither one overpowering the other. Bitterness is moderate and quite smooth never becoming harsh. Very drinkable and truly one of the benchmark IPA’s.

Orange copper bodied with medium head. Dark hops, pine, spruce, resin, biscuit malts. Great bitterness, but a bit of alcohol too. (33cl bottle from Beer City)

Det ska mycket till för att misslyckas med den här typen av IPA. I USA går det 13 på dussinet. Och samma sak gäller för det här betyget, så förutsägbart är det.

Bottle at rake borough mkt. blood orange coloured. Clean tasting. Not overly hopped. Very pleasant without being exciting. Good percentage.

Bottle- Lovely pour and colour in the glass and crystal clear. Aroma is sweet malt some pine and citrus not big. Thick full on the tongue and nicely balanced for the IBUs doesn’t appear overly bitter. Tasta, malty some happiness. Overall I suspect (no date on bottle) this has suffered on the shelf and lost its full hop aspects, but still a good beer.

Old rating. Just an excellent down the middle IPA. Hazy orange. Citrus and floral hops with a mid-level malty base. Crisp, delicious.

Tap at Belmont Station for CBC A: Light amber, thin white head, not much lacing. N: Pineapple, grapefruit, toffee, orange peel, earth, peppercorn, some bubblegum, and grass. T: Sweet and malty with a backing bitterness. M: Medium body, no alcohol presence, resins, creamy carbonation. O: A solid IPA from Founders with a solid balance of citrus and earthy characteristics. I prefer RPM, but this is a nice showing.

Pours a hazy, darker amber color, topped with lots of cream colored creamy head with decent retention. Malty aroma, caramel and biscuity, some resin perhaps. In the back some fruity notes. Taste is sweet and fruity, slightly spicy in the finish with moderate bitterness. Lasting herbal aftertaste.

hohops (463) - Kent, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2015
Appearance is a hazy, light amber with a one-finger cream head. Aroma- lots of creamy malt, orange peel, hoppy, caramel, lemon hints, tangerine, grapefruit. Taste- bitter hops, orange and grapefruit, mango, lime hints, a good malt presence which makes it a bit creamy, hoppy, bitter and fairly short finish. Very nice IPA.

Awesome, sweet aroma of very mature mango, pineapple and a bit of strawberries. It’s bright amber color beer, clear, with one finger white head. The power of this beer is definitely bitterness. From the beginning - you can feel it from the very first beginning of first sip. But it’s not brutal, it’s not annoying bitterness. It’s smooth and noble. There is no balance in this beer, there is no sweetness. It’s just bitter all the time, great grapefruity bitterness. In the end it’s even quite big one, but very short. It’s nicely carbonated. It’s an awesome west coast style IPA.
