Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Poured out of a bottle into a pint glass. Rust colored with a nice inch of white head. I could smell the citrus while I was pouring it with my nose at least a foot away. On closer inspection, lots of grapefruit, actually that’s all I could get out of it. Taste: Hoppy hops. Bitter. Good. Sharp and crisp on the tip of the tongue. Moderate carbonation. It seems to soften out at the end. Good IPA. I could drink this all day long. Good solid flavor and smell.

Picked this up from Chip’s in Kill Devil Hills, NC while on vacation. Bottle date is 9/3/15 so it is fresh. Pours a clear amber with lots of head. Aroma is floral and maybe a hint of pine with a nice amount of an almost lightly candied sweetness. Reminds me a lot of Two Hearted but that is to be expected with Centennial hops. Taste is sweet but with a nice bitterness and overall this beer is well balanced. Medium bodied with a dry finish. I would buy this if it was available where I lived.

Bottle at home (bottled 04/13/2015). Pours a clear to light hazy orange amber with a white head. Aroma of fruity hops and sweet malts, orange, peach, caramel. Taste is sweet fruity followed by hoppy bitterness, malts, caramel, orange, dry, bitter ending, bit resiny. Bitter hoppy aftertaste. Not bad.

Somewhat amber appearance with no head. Complex tastes of caramel malt, spruce, hops, alcohol, citrus and grass. Medium to full bodied, with fair amount of carbonation, followed by a long aftertaste of spruce

Pours amber body with tiny off-white head. Its aroma reveals typical hoppy IPA style: grapefruit, mandarin and a touch of spices. The taste starts with malty caramel, but immediately covered by bitter citrus peels and grassy flavour. It owns high bitterness, which can be evidently shown in the finishing.

Adquirida en Whole Foods, LES, New York. Tonalidad amarronada, poco espumosa. Aroma balanceado en donde predominan las frutas tropicales. Una IPA suave, delicada y muy agradable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
