Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Poured out of a bottle into a pint glass. Rust colored with a nice inch of white head. I could smell the citrus while I was pouring it with my nose at least a foot away. On closer inspection, lots of grapefruit, actually that’s all I could get out of it. Taste: Hoppy hops. Bitter. Good. Sharp and crisp on the tip of the tongue. Moderate carbonation. It seems to soften out at the end. Good IPA. I could drink this all day long. Good solid flavor and smell.

355ml Bottle: Pours a dark amber with minimal off-white head, some lacing. Aroma of caramel, pine and stewed fruit. Beautiful resinous bite from the hops with a well balanced malt backbone. Some citrus notes from the hops as well. Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Overall a great beer.

A powerful, bitter and fruity India Pale Ale. Lovely aroma and a handsome head of foam.

Draught at DC Gotanda. Great showcase of that lovely hop, heady citrusy weed juice, smooth balance, clean finish, seems to travel well too. A very welcome new import.

Pours dark orange to brown with a small white head; aroma is hoppy, tangy, some alcohol, pine, resinous; taste is medium sweet, fruity, fading into piney resinous bitterness; oily mouthfeel and average carbonation

Tap at CBB Bud, Founders launch in Kansai. A deep clear bronze with sticky white lacing. Sweet malt mixed with pine aroma, something floral in there. Rich malt and pine flavour, really fresh tasting, very well balanced, nothing out of place. Smooth yet bitter, dank yet drinkable. Great stuff, far better fresh (4 weeks old) on tap than the cans I’ve tried previously.

Knock Out ....... and think lemon 😊. Das Ende etwas zu kratzig herb. 0,33 Flasche von irgendwo. Ca. 3€.

Can (Lord help us).335ml. Aroma of pink grapefruit, even allowing for my pouring technique it’s citrus and floral in the same way that walking through the perfume section of a department store is floral. So even without the encomium of the judges, it’s a recognizable beer. In the end I achieved a respectable glass with an amber body good white top. Taste is equally distinctive. The hoppy character of the IPA is is emphatically there but I agree with the marketeers that the malts quotient is ever present. British IPA brewers take note.
