Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Poured out of a bottle into a pint glass. Rust colored with a nice inch of white head. I could smell the citrus while I was pouring it with my nose at least a foot away. On closer inspection, lots of grapefruit, actually that’s all I could get out of it. Taste: Hoppy hops. Bitter. Good. Sharp and crisp on the tip of the tongue. Moderate carbonation. It seems to soften out at the end. Good IPA. I could drink this all day long. Good solid flavor and smell.

On nitro tap at JL Beers, Grand Forks. Deep amber pour with a creamy thick beige head. Aroma is bright citrus and tropical fruit. Taste is malty for an IPA, but still lots of citrus and fruity notes. Quite nice, but wish it wasn't on nitro.

Really liked it. Easy drinking ipa best when don't want really bitter ipa. Nice mild aroma and balanced taste- I got notes of orange with every sip. Very pleasant. Comparable to bells two hearted. Strong malt presence but sweet and pretty tasty when don't want hop bomb. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is medium amber. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cookie, toasted grain), moderately hoppy (apricot, grapefruit, resin, grass), with notes of dried mango, toffee, and alcohol. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Solid and tasty. Some resin but decent tropical fruit as well, and nicely balanced.

Light coppery color with an off white head with good retention. Aroma has notes of resin hops, light caramel and good maltiness. Flavor has a strong bitterness, with a high presence of malts. Strong biitterness in the final with an astringent mouthfeel.

Bottled 09/03/15, drunk on 11/11/15. Poured into pint glass. Orange in color, with a floral citrus scent. Very balanced flavor profile, bright hoppiness yet sweet, with malty undertones. The head is nice and the feel pleasant on the tongue. Finishes clean & not too bitter. Overall the Centennial is a great example of an American IPA.

Denne IPA har et uklart, men gyldent udseende med et medium hvidt skum. Øllen har en sød og frisk aroma. Smagmæssigt er øllen sød og frisk, med noter af sød karamel. Medium karbonering.

Bottle pours orange color with persistent white foamy head. Hoppy nose, sweet malty body from entry to middle to finish. Overall, I really like this style: seems to combine the best of west coast/east coast attributes.
