s_creigh (201), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Jan 12, 2008 Pours a very hazy light copper color. Huge fluffy/soapy white head that lasts the entire beer with some impressive lacing. Slight hop aroma but kind of bland smelling. Nice hop flavoring. Some flowery sweetness. Then some pithy taste and finishes with hop bitterness. Nice. Note my favorite but very good.
beerbill (1318), Laurel, New York, USA Oct 9, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a moderate off-white head that lasted through to the end of the glass and left a layer of foam with each sip. Very pleasant aroma of pine, grapefruit, and malt. The flavor is malt up front, followed by some strong pine. Nice hops bite at the finish with some dryness at the end. Well balanced and enjoyable. LilBeerDoctor (637), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear deep orange/brown with a thick, foamy, creamy off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, floral, a hint of bitter piney hops, and caramel malt. Flavor is fairly malty, nice caramel and brown sugar undertones. Nice citrusy finish. Not super hoppy, but I suspect that my bottle might not be super fresh. This is a tasty beer though! IHABrew (3), , New Jersey, USA does not count Oct 5, 2008 You know this brew is loaded with hops from the first smell. The hops pack quite a punch, but the malt balances things out making for a nice, easy to drink IPA. A great example of an American IPA. NaturalIce (92), originally from Michigan, New Jersey, USA Oct 4, 2008 12 oz bottle; Great beer. Aroma of floral hops. Hops and citrus flavor with that terrific bitter bite of an IPA. The finish outstanding as the bitterness quickly diminishes into a sweeter malt. I love IPA’s elihapa (317), Connecticut, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber-gold with a small wispy head. Aroma is heavy of grapefruit, pine, malt, and a touch of lemon. Flavor is a bit subdued given the intense bouquet of this beer. Lemon, orange peel, tart grapefruit, and a bit of balancing sweetness. This is a very, very solid IPA. If anything, the palate is not quite as crisp, nor the flavor as bold as the top IPAs I’ve had.
