Selected as a benchmark for the Beer Judge Certification Program used in all American based beer judgings. Centennial IPA has quickly become the IPA of choice. Pour yourself a pint of this complex flavorful ale and bask in the frothy head’s floral bouquet. Relish the immense citrus accents, achieved by the abundance of dry hopping. This ale’s sweet, malty undertones balance the hop character with a finish that never turns too bitter.

Bottle. Pours a hazy Bronze Colour. Taste. that of sweet citrus fruits Overall. A very good IPA, normally i wouldn’t criticize the bitterness of an IPA, but i feel as though it could be a little less bitter, none the less a great beer and definitely one of the better ones i’ve tried.

Smells of citrus and flowers with a hint of sweetness. Pours a dark orange with a dense, pillowy head and nice lacing as the head dissipates. Nice level of bitterness with a slightly medicinal finish. Lively carbonation that dances on the tongue. The finish is bitter and long lasting.

Can. Pours hazy amber/orange with lazing offwhite head. Aroma with light malts, biscuit and caramel and grassy, citrus and grapefruit hoppy aroma. Taste is malty with caramel and biscuit and hoppy with grassy and citric notes, maybe pine and slightly resinous. Balanced between sweetness, aroma and bitterness. Finish is bitter yet sweet.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Been slowly working my way through a 12oz bottle six pack since arriving on holiday in California (1st one on 14th May 2016). Pours a very pleasant dark amber with an off-white topping. Malty, yet hoppy, sweet, yet bitter, they have got the balance just about perfect here, a lovely blending of the basic beer ingredients and plenty of both malts and hops.

Bottle. Hazy amber with a rocky head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of hops and dank malt. Flavor is bracingly bitter and then sweet. A little too much caramel malt in this for my taste.

Tap at new bohemia. Murky copper with medium white head. Sweet almost honey nose. Resin hop throughout. Clean and tasty. Finish is oily . Has a double ipa feel. Good beer.

Fantastic brew! Really nice and refreshing aroma; citrus, hops and grapefruit. Taste reflecting the aroma. A big plus on the price, this is budget ipa with loads of taste.

Drank from a pint glass, poured from a twelve ounce bottle. Hints of citrus, lost of pine, and alcohol on the nose. Pours a nice, crisp, copper hue, with a bit of white head. Not a huge fan of the pungent Centennial hop flavor.....I’m going to rebrew this brew into a shandy. Normally I do not purchase IPA’s, but I’m gonna brew this type IPA into a summer shandy.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2016 Pours beautiful dark amber colored with little head. Aromas of pine and resin are obvious. First taste is well balanced, composed, elegant, not an aggressive IPA with hints of lemon, coriander and grapefruit. Alcohol is present once beer warms a little.
